  1. The Port vale DOF football has been criticised and abused. Fans unhappy like the majority of City fans are. The club owner released a statement with objectives the DOF had been given. Just wished we could have communication from the club like this. https://www.port-vale.co.uk/news/2024/february/an-open-letter-from-carol/
  2. Good luck Kel....
  3. No, me neither. So had to check
  4. IFAB @foxfanazer 1. A video assistant referee (VAR) is a match official, with independent access to match footage, who may assist the referee only in the event of a ‘clear and obvious error’ or ‘serious missed incident’ in relation to: a. Goal/no goal b. Penalty/no penalty c. Direct red card (not second yellow card/caution)
  5. Why don't you have the conversation in the Rudkin thread @Babylon and @Chocolate Teapot. It is a bit dull and repetitive.
  6. In Enzo's system, the goals will be shared around, as we have seen this season. It's about the collective, wingers, 8s, and CF all chipping in. The role of CF isn't just about scoring goals for Enzo.
  7. It needs to be pretty soon, as I'm sure they will appeal the verdict. It will get messy if it's not sorted in the season; same with Everton. You can't have a situation where they get deducted points and get relegated because of it, and then appeal and not get relegated.
  8. Do we need to make every thread a Rudkin discussion. Feel like the last 6m under Rodgers.
  9. There is a difference between what one can and what one chooses to afford. I'm not buying that we couldn't afford 2m over a 3-year contract that's 600k per annum.
  10. It depends if we did any player Impairment in the 22/23 accounts. Impairment writes down a player's values; it also has the benefit of reducing player amortisation going forward; it is popular with relegated clubs. So, until the accounts are out for 22/23, it's hard to have an accurate figure for the remaining amortisation for any player we signed before this summer window. For example, the club could have decided to impair player values by 20%, so rather than having 13.5m remaining on the books for Souttar, it would be 11m.
  11. According to Swish Ramble, we were uncomfortably close to the limit in the previous 3-year reporting, under by around 4m, I don't think the loss in the next the 3-year period (21/22, 22/23, 23/24) will be as high as your number. What we know is: 21/22: - 93m (Taken from the accounts) My guess: 22/23: - 30m (This is my calculation with the facts I know and some assumptions) 23/24 - 23m (This is my calculation with the facts I know and some assumptions) So, around 146m loss over the 3-year period on my calculations. It is important to realise the headline losses aren't the figure for the FFP calculations. There are a number of allowable deductions when it comes to FFP, seen as “healthy” expenditure: Depreciation of tangible fixed assets New stadium expenses Other amortisation Youth development Women’s football Community development In addition, clubs can deduct promotion payments. Some of the deductions from the 93m loss in 21/22 Depreciation of tangible fixed assets: 7.2m, Youth development 5m, Women’s football 3m, Community development 1m =16m For example, this takes the 93m (22/22) down by 16m to 76m. So if it takes three years (16m x 3) of deductions from my guess, 146m - 36m =107m So I reckon we are 24m over the limit. I reckon we would have had to chop the 21/22 wage bill by 65% by 23/24 to be under the limit. In my assumptions, I did 50% Or find some more deductions to help.
  12. What are you basing your assumptions on, have you done some FFP calculations, or are you going of a source?
  13. 95 point only see us need 1.43 pts per game.
  14. Pretty confident we hit 100+ Also pretty confident no one else does. We need 1.75 point per game. Southampton need 2.29 Leeds 2.5 Ipswich 2.41 People will harp on about Southampton form but it will break at some point.
  15. It has to be a keep. We have lost Casadei. That leaves us with KDH, McAteer, Ndidi, Akgun, and Praet for two positions. Ndidi is out for another 4-6 weeks . So we are down to 4 to cover 2 positions. McAteer is also back up for the wing, and Akgun isn't the best for keeping fit.
  16. The biggest issue for me.
  17. There is nothing wrong with enjoying one style of football over the other. The beauty of football is contrasting styles, whether that be the Wimbledon Crazy gang, Pep's controlled football, Klopps Heavy Metal football or Tony Pulis Stoke on a cold Monday night. Your level of knowledge give you no right to be critical of someone preference, just because I've got my coaching badges doesn't mean I can tell causal Carl he's wrong about what he enjoys. Let just get behind Enzo and the boys, and make some noise.
  18. Always felt like we were 50- 100 runs short in the first inns.
  19. I wondered if we sent him to Holland to be near his brother, seemed a left field loan. Maybe homesick?
  20. I'm sure Nelson will be part of the squad, Alves need to kick a ball in anger for the first team and Braybrooke just has to get fit. Raikhy and Cover need loans for me. We will need 4 or 5 in at minimum.
  21. They are the Loss straight from the accounts. They will be the start of the FFP calculation, then you start taking of the deductables for example, academy, stadium, community programme cost, deprecation etc.
  22. We are going to have to try and resign a few. We have 6 player out of contact, we have 3 on loan (2 with a obligation to buy). That's 9 players out of a squad ot 25, I can't see us having the funds to sign 9. So I think we will look to renew 2 or 3, I'd guess at Ndidi, Vardy and Vesterguard being the ones we want to renew.
  23. You are correct, with the 83m (PL x 2 C x 1) There are lots of deductable which make it tricky to work out, you can take away all sorts of your P & L. Sources I've read have us somewhere around 5m-10m off the limit before the start of the 22/23, which is why we brought nobody that summer until we sold Fofana. Hard to know how things are units they release the accounts for 22/23. Should give us a decent idea.
  24. Rumours on Bluemoon say 15m for Doyle.
