I’m sorry, but it appears that you are wrong!

“GG: Which Leicester managers have left the most impressions on the fans?” No mention of Pearson here? Hmmm …..
-
…. and the fact that we couldn’t get him … perfectly summed up that season
-
Yeah. This basically sums it up. We have plenty of CBs already and, no doubt, he’s a decent player at this level, but the whole point is that we don’t want to stay at this level
-
I might be going early on this, but I think we're staying up!
-
It's unlikely - he's currently fifth choice apparently: Hermansen Stolarczyk Iversen A large can of baked beans ...... Ward
-
I never really rated him at Premier League level and would have been content to see him sold. This season, however, has not turned out how I expected. I really thought that Nacho would kick on at this level and Vardy would be sufficient support despite his declining abilities. Maybe Daka now deserves a run with Vardy/Cannon as back up and Ian is the one to get off the wage bill? There is nothing better than a player you’ve previously written off proving useful. Vestergaard has proven his worth in a system that works for him and it’s possible that Patson could similarly thrive. Certainly Ian’s inconsistency has justified the experiment

Thank goodness they play Leeds in a game or two’s time. Something will have to give there
-
This is Foxestalk. You’re a little late with that observation
-
So we’ve actually scored more goals now than the much vaunted attack of Leeds United.
-
Seems a while since PD’s last goal for us x
-
Yes. Apparently if we play him we can’t sue Everton
-
That sort of negativity will get you fired!
-
No Vardy, Ian, McAteer or Dolphin! Were they all out on the piss last night or something?
-
I’ll let you know in about 5 minutes
-
Starts what?
-
That’s a very British statement

I’m just glad that we’re still top. If we slip to 2nd or, god forbid, 3rd those currently queuing up with sharpened pencils are going to have a field day laying into Maresca
-
Make a dash for it at half time. Sounds a bit risky to come back after your pie

This logic is sound. I get a bit grumpy with people dismissing the cup when we’re in the top flight as trophies are rare and wonderful things. Chances of winning are still slim, but you can give yourself a chance as we did in 2021. A team outside the top flight, however, hasn’t won it since 1980. I’m not excited or interested about playing a “big” club. Promotion is the one and only goal this season. This time it’s just a run out for our peripheral players for me.

I really do think some people have been a bit naive and had a sense of entitlement about our chances of going straight back up. Particularly after our great start. The simplest equation is that 3 doesn’t go into 2. At least one of the relegated clubs will miss out or be in the play off lottery. It’s a 46 game slog and there is plenty of time for injuries and poor form to play a part for any team. Every game ticked off and we’re still up there is a small step forward, but still a marathon to go. That’s why I get particularly irritated with the “blessing in disguise” nonsense that some speak. The Championship is a horrible division that’s so easy to get stuck in if you make the wrong decisions.

Ian is capable of sublime finishing and defence splitting passes. He can be the difference in games with one moment of quality. The problem is that it’s often a luxury keeping him on the pitch for the hope of that one moment. He floats around without pace and poor control. It’s interesting that his “purple patch” probably came when he was playing with Vardy up front. No manager has tried that since, but he needs to find consistency in the system and contribute those “moments” more frequently. The WBA game was, in some ways, a perfect illustration. Not many of us would have blinked if he’d been removed for Vardy or Cannon; but he was there to help contribute to the decisive moment in the game when it mattered
-
A lower division team at home. Rotate the team and try and get some game time for some of the peripheral players. Let's have a look at Tom Cannon
-
Thank god we won! That makes all the other results irrelevant. We’re still top with one less game for others to catch us. Onto the next game now … but … thank god we won!
