Coventry Home First Game of the Season
promised land replied to JoachimWasMyHero's topic in Leicester City Forum
Fairly sure that’s the same every season for first programme, so being relegated is no different. What has he said inside, “we are where we are?” -

Seriously or joking? P1 hasn’t opened yet, just away priority on sale until 2pm -
Safe standing - time to act

I thought they had to allocate a certain part of the away end if it’s in the home. Still under reduced allocation at St Andrews then. -

That looks like the Tilton road end, are they back to full capacity now as I heard it was reduced due to the ground not being up to standard. How do you go on in these areas, that’s not proper safe standing seating so if I stood up does the person behind me have a right to complain if they’re sitting and can’t see? Yes it’s new seating but it’s just simply a handrail over the top of normal stadium seats. If it’s that end then the away section should have some as well shouldn’t it? -
Off-field redundancies - have there been any?
promised land replied to Freeman's Wharfer's topic in Leicester City Forum
There used to be 4 green keepers for the 9 hole course but since relegation I’ve been told by someone up there it’s now 2. Be interesting to know how many actually play the course weekly as most players are members at proper clubs. Maybe it will open as a pay and play? -
Who’s fault is that then? The renewal period window was long enough plus in this era even if they were away for the whole duration of that period you can do it online like I guess almost everyone has done. If it is true and they missed it by a week, I’m surprised the club let them renew even at new ST prices as they could have told them they missed out and members would have taken the opportunity. But once again any excuse to slate the club and bring them down.

Do they though? If their members voted a majority to scrap goal music would they have stood up to the club about it? I read on here, so not sure if it’s true that they agreed to the goal music at one of those selected few meetings. Had a quick butchers at their site, what would £10 of membership bring me? A nice enamel badge and access to their section in the ground? Have they got a drummer? Quite like the idea of a Trust sticker set to plaster all over the bogs of championship clubs.

People will moan whatever the price, they need something to complain about. Away prices will be interesting as from what I recall there is no cap below the Prem. Last time I went to Leeds in the Championship I think it was £36, this wasn’t the season we went up either so no idea what they’ll fleece us for now.

Coventry Home First Game of the Season
promised land replied to JoachimWasMyHero's topic in Leicester City Forum
1-1 first away if the season IIRC and even got my boat in Mondays Mercury. As for the poster saying their ground’s better than KP, cloud cookoo land pal. Last time I was in the city it was still grey and concrete due to being flattened in the war. We need to be up for this and ready to go. -
You’re always a very level headed poster on here and have more experience on the current Championship so who would you predict to be strong next season? Will you be up there?
-
I left at full time, they were showing the Everton match on the screens in the concourse so maybe the ones you saw leaving at 85 were stood there watching it. I didn’t, we carried on out. Did the team do a lap after the match or just the usual polite clap to fans around the centre circle?
-
I buy that to an extent but some like Jamie Vardy and a few academy players, not all will have more loyalty to the club. I wouldn’t be surprised if JV took on a coaching role within the club, similar to Kevin Phillips a few seasons ago. He is certainly a player the academies can look up too and learn from.
-
I stand corrected then but it was certainly the top part, oddly it then went over to the family stand. Most of the corners will be empty seats next season so those melts will be gone.
-
That was put in to replace Drinkwaters goal at Chelsea on the final day of the season. Everything about match day needs an overhaul, thankfully t shirts will be gone next season and hoping fan cam gets binned as well. As for the poster asking where the fake news came from both half’s, in the kop it was SK1 both times, whether it was deliberate to get a reaction from the crowd or just some bell ends trying to be clever it was utter crap doing it. Back to a load of empty seats next season, those that came along for the top flight will drift away again to leave us who follow thick and thin.
-
Bit difficult that, him and Whelan are doing the review I heard.
-
The old gits would be moaning before a steward got close, I’m smack bang centre of the kop, always stood last couple of rows at away days and would stand at home but don’t want to relocate.
-
The kop never stood up when we played Everton in 2016 so no chance we will get a standing full kop end.
-
It wouldn’t surprise me if Everton went behind by more than one goal for their fans to do a pitch invasion and get the game abandoned, no idea on the scenario then but plod and stewards wouldn’t be able to keep 30k or however many off the pitch. Safety will be first priority then and players/ref won’t be back out if it’s not secured. If that occurred how can the result stand? As they’d know that if win they stay up, or just draw the replay due to ours and Leeds games long finished. For us, our destiny is out of our hands but a win is the first step then if the other result goes our way, but we don’t have a great record at home against West Ham in recent years. Our defence is like a sieve that’s the problem and I can’t see a clean sheet back to back.
-
Yes but that’s not how it works, it’s defined over 9 months and 38 games, no one just picks a certain miss and points the finger at that player and says ‘oh that’s why we went down.’ Why did he take it should be asked first but that’s got another thread. You could also say the Southampton games,6 points taken was the reason, the list is endless. The truth is we are not good enough, mid table last season to bottom 3 with 2 games to play and it’s technically out of our hands. The board will be begging fans to renew in a few weeks time.

Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?
promised land replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes it’s getting tiring like the newts and dinosaur comments that always crop up. For the record besides us Pearsons win percentage at Hull,Derby,OHL, Watford and Bristol City isn’t fantastic. He had 2 brilliant spells here but that doesn’t mean a third go would net the same results, leave history where it belongs, in the past. -
Who will be renewing their season ticket?
promised land replied to David Hankey's topic in Leicester City Forum
So what will the excuses be from the non season ticket holders who can’t get a ticket because the ground isn’t big enough next season? We averaged gates around 21-23k last time we were in that league, the extra 7k STH when we went up, they will stick around surely. If not then yes around 8-10k empty seats to choose from but hold on, you won’t be able to buy one without a membership, no rocking up on match day. It will be interesting to see the outcome, for all we know we might be like Norwich and have a full house every game. Doubt it though. -
This made me laugh. Not serious I guess. He is 84 and not managed a club since Forest in 1999.
-
I Don’t want to disappoint you but in the Championship there will be no need for a resale platform when weekly attendances are 22k odd like the last time we were in the second tier. More midweek games is a guarantee.
-
Lower quality of football. Positives. It will put an end to the free crap the Thais think every fan wants, t shirt cannons ffs, free beer and cakes, and today fecking coconuts, who in the right mind wants any of that shite? Laughing stock we certainly are.
-
They were technically put out before that for odd games like play off semis if my memory is still working but yes West Ham with the Fox tifo kicked it all off. I still say that’s the best tifo.
