The club stinks right from the very top down. Still they’ll be rubbing their hands together that they got the renewals out before it was all confirmed where as other seasons it’s even been after last game of the season if I recall. Someone I know has one and I was told it’s around £50k a season but a lot of price variations due to location, type of hospitality you have etc, but it’s mainly companies treating future clients etc that buy them. Next season I think will be almost full capacity at games but season after will drop off dramatically to pre 2014 seasons, corners empty etc. Imposing these rules will just drive more away by then.

You are wrong kid, they do work and I’ll tell you this, your card has the same chip in it as the chip in the top of smart phones to enable NFC ticketing to work. As long as you downloaded the email at the start of the season it automatically updates in your wallet. Another miff someone else said on here if the system goes down you’re stuck, if the system goes down card holders will not get in either as see my first paragraph it’s the same technology just one is in a piece of plastic, the other is in a phone. You don’t need network to open your wallet and use it, what probably happened is the fans hadn’t added it to their wallet before turning up, as soon as I get a glimpse of the stadium I’ve got zero phone data. But as long as that match day ticket is in your wallet you’re in. Which loads automatically anyway after the first email link. I was sceptical at first but no way I’m handing over anymore money just for a plastic card. My ST is all I pay out to the club, never buy anything on match day or buy anything from the shop.

Or 3D print a digit then just pass it around when you can’t attend.
