Be careful around Narborough Road as it is limited in areas on match days. If you don’t mind a 30 minute walk, Lee circle car park in the city centre is £3.95 for 24 hours I think, easy to get to and out of after, if you are heading to Manchester straight after I’d avoid junction 21 and take the A50 up to Markfield to get on the M1.

His house has been under offer for some time so I don’t think he’ll be looking to move round here. Heard a whisper in the boozer last night that a mates mate has been redecorating Martin O’Neill’s flat up on London Road.

Southampton away - who had their ticket and ID checked ?
promised land replied to coolcol's topic in Leicester City Forum
You’re probably right because despite what some think and say about extending the ground, drop down to the Championship and it will be 19-23k weekly at games like before. Add in I think away games aren’t capped or weren’t capped like Premier league away days, so away ends not selling out as well. Just make sure you take photo ID, inside leg measurement, next of kin, mothers maiden name info with you. -
Southampton away - who had their ticket and ID checked ?

I didn’t go to Southampton away but from Bayfox’s post have I got this right? The club deliberately held back around 100 fans tickets for them to collect at St Mary’s and for that you had to take photo ID with you. This is also a trial and will be carried out at future games. Have I got that right? If so it quite frankly stinks, I assume they still got charged a booking/postage fee or whatever they call it yet never received their tickets by post, I never had my Southampton away ticket once pre Covid so I just walked up to their kiosk, told them my name no need to prove via passport/ driving licence who I was. If this is their way forward for away games I’m done with it after tramping up and down the country for well over a decade to almost every game. I will not entertain having to prove who I am at a turnstile when I’ve already bought and paid for the access weeks in advance. If actual card ST are going to be more expensive than using a phone to get in home games they can do one on that front as well, I’ll go and follow the egg chasers instead, atmosphere is about the same. This club is going down the drain both on and off the pitch. -
Only a good result for us if we beat the teams around us to create a gap between us and the rest which isn’t happening.

Seriously? You’re asking that question or you’re just on a wind up? It has been quite amusing reading this thread from Saturday onwards, granted I had no idea what was going on but my mate did say during the game that they were quiet today, we are one block away. If it was to get a response it looks like they did it.

Can’t say I hear it when we score but is it still Cooking on 3 burners by This Girl? That was the Porto music when we were high up in the gods there. All I remembered of that night was waiting to get out with the Nigel Pearson lookalike at the top of the stairs inside the ground.

Thought I was seeing things, they marched along in front of the kop from west to east, went around the hoardings, marched back to the west then all bunched up in the middle section for a few minutes. First day at work? Security outside is still way OTT. I’m sure it’s the home end we go through but feels more like an away end.

Back this fact up then with real stats, got a link for it? Certainly something I’d be interested in reading.

Hats off to you all for the homework put in to actually get it made not just the man hours but the research like above, I thought you’d just go and buy a load of wilko cheap emulsion and a few brushes, rollers. I never knew you applied adhesives to the paint. Whoever came up with the idea, single or collective it was superb. Finding a sports hall or unit big enough must present problems before you’ve even started.

Amazing isn't it? You have a few wet blankets like the one earlier saying it is a complete disgrace, cost of living, ticket prices rising, £200 for a naff bomber. Are the club frog marching him into the store to hand over his money and buy one? Posters on here moan and groan about prices yet on a match day a lot seem quite willing to pay £60 or whatever it is for a replica shirt most probably made out of recycled water bottles and look like 10,000 other lemmings in them. At least if they spent that same money on the t shirt they would look different. Vote with your wallet, don't like it, don't buy it. I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I bought anything out of the shop. Way before bat flu.

Didn't MON keep the letters that fans sent to him early on and when we were good he invited those few fans to the club to meet them face to face? Wasn't there once a fan who ran on to the pitch over to the dug outs and ripped his season ticket up, ironically I seem to recall he never got banned for it either.

You were not in the upper shed then, large groups chanting ‘get out of our club’ and pointing at him towards the end.

At Chelsea they usually park near the old gas works behind the Harley Davidson garage, no idea why it’s 9:15am, quite an odd setting off time. For the Emirates they didn’t stop enroute as they had to all be parked up by 12pm as they park on the road that all the corporates drive down to park under the Emirates. It would be odd if Chelsea demands they arrive early as apart from coach 3 they’re all parked a long way from the ground.

So you only do it once and then for every game it’s in your wallet, no faffing about. Cheers, that’s all I needed to know.
-
Yes but my point is you have to fart around doing this 19 times a season, can they not just send one email before the season starts that then goes into your wallet for every game. I have got better things to do with my time than download a ticket every fortnight.
-
I do like the Run DMC style flag, very good that.
-
Right, I’m a dinosaur and opted for a season card this year but know it’s going to be on my dog at some point. So to clear this up if you have a season card NFT on your dog you have to download it before every match day to your wallet? Why can’t you just do it once at the start of the season and that’s it? This sounds like an utter ball ache if I’ve got it right, no different to having to go and pick your season card up from the ticket office before every game.

Stockport County Away - 23/24th August

You were allowed to miss 3 or 5 premier league games a season, (can’t remember now for sure) I stayed on it until last season but for one reason or another couldn’t make many games last season. It was good for not having to log in and buy tickets, just get them in the post every couple of weeks but like you say some real shite seats, Anfield is one I remember. We were always at the back so generally ok as very back row until you got to Stamford Bridge, Goodison or Selhurst Park. I originally heard between 7-800 from the chap who dealt with it in the office who you’ll know anyway. I’d say half at best now are on it. No point now if you’ve still got to log on to buy tickets as that was the point of it.Basically an open away season ticket with no price as this was back when Anfield was £50 a ticket and Arsenal £30 etc. All matches will always make P1 day regardless. -
Really? Anyone under 35 has probably had a mobile since primary school, for the rest of us over that we didn't start owning them until in late teens or my era in their 20's. That is why society is going down the drain, you see it in pubs and everywhere, groups of people together but all got their heads stuck in their phones, that is not social at all. But back to the point I shall hold onto my season card for as long as possible. Dinosaur or not. Wallet on my phone has nothing in it and is staying that way.
-
Anyone over 70 who is not interested in snap chat, facebook etc and has no use for a smart phone, my dad who is now retired had a phone from 1987 for work, the huge things the size of a car battery, then they got smaller, but he now doesn't have one as he is not working and has no need for one. I know loads of older folk who don't have a mobile at all, in fact a lot of the time at weekends, nights I leave mine at home, it's constantly ringing all day with work (which I have no problem as self employed) but you then can't be arsed with it outside of that, I have been to the football loads without taking it. You don't need it in there and it doesn't work inside either most of the time, it is just a slab of plastic in your pocket, in summer it gets in the way a bit with fewer pockets. It has nothing to do with costs.
-
A lot of older folks, retired pensioners have no need or use for anything other than a simple mobile phone so surely they cannot stop cards completely. As for those that say have it all in one place on your phone, yes great until you lose or forget it, nothing wrong with a simple plastic card in your pocket/wallet and you use it maybe 20 times a year.
-
I know a few people who haven't got smart phones so where does that leave them?
-
Living near by and using this stretch of the A46 if I have to go right to head to the Hobby Horse roundabout I always swing left and up to the Durham Ox, as you say 5-10 minutes max to get you back to that crossing. Coming south on the A46 I have seen cars pull out of Seagrave onto the fast lane, onto the inside lane, there really is no saying where they will end up. I still am not sure what improvements they made to the junction the other year. Without building a bridge or tunneling under there is not much more they can do, it will never be a roundabout.

But it’s smart water, I thought that was the stuff you used to security protect your household electrical appliances with that shows up under UV lights.
