  1. Comparing apples with oranges bringing the women’s sales into it. Isn’t t a season ticket something like £40? For a season! That shows the interest in the game.
  2. Last time I looked Plymouth was in Devon, has it moved then?
  3. We had dozens leaving way before Vardy got the penalty, criticising other grounds when we are far worse IMO.
  4. Will Doris still be able to see the boys walk out of the tunnel?
  5. Back in the day when the RAF chopper brought the match ball the MC used to say this, after last post a minutes silence, it’s never going to happen with 31k fans in a ground, (it never did then either) the last post has already been on for over a minute with the majority quiet, it’s not at the cenotaph or a village memorial. I think that’s the best you’ll get from a football ground. Still folk leaving before final whistle, bizarre lot.
  6. I think he’s referring to the fact you need to be a member as no general sale. Been a STH for years so no idea if that is actually the case but I think it is. Incidentally, do you need to be a member to buy WSL tickets? A bit double standards if not.
  7. The season 2013-14 that we won the championship at a canter we never sold out until Doncaster on the final day 22k ish at start of season up to 27k ish later on. 22-23k was about average for us for seasons in tier 2, as long as we get back up we will keep selling out but linger here for a few years and some fans would drop off again. Go back a bit further (late 80’s) and 11k was a good crowd at FS, so it’s naturally grown and will again with a bigger ground.
  8. Away fans sitting down? What is it coming to?
  9. If so, report it now, plenty of cameras around the prison to confirm it. No place for it in supporting a club.
  10. Yes no doubt about that and I did think of the logistics when I posted it but they throw them on at other times. Given they would have had a few hours to arrange something you’d like to think a few commuters would get back. But as they’re saying tickets can be used tomorrow maybe not. Good luck to anyone stranded tonight.
  11. More than a few, earlier today when I went past there were hundreds streaming out of the station, surely a bus replacement service will be in place.
  12. I think the problem with these events is each band has to have the same light, sound, stage as all the others. The sound for a 2 girl singing group compared to a full band like Deacon Blue is going to be completely different. That’s if Banarma had a band of just used backing tracks. Add in they get about half hour each for a set, I’d sooner see a full gig with their own sound and light. Plenty of 40-60 year olds walking around the city today with fold up camping chairs. 😀 It brings money into the county so I am all for it but it’s not somewhere I’d want to spend an afternoon, the radio 1 gigs on there years ago were enough.
  13. There hasn’t been a bad one IMO. But dogs of war and first one with foxes head stand out, didn’t you do one for the Swansea game in the run in? Which was touch and go with the club as they we’re afraid it might jinx the title?
  14. 2 amazing moments in our history and he was there, also the Plaza in Madrid he walked in to have a look at the sea of blue shirts in the afternoon. I managed to shake his hand one Friday night at West Ham away, he walked through the concourse before kick off surrounded by his minders but I held my hand out and he shook it.
  15. Fairly sure it was an RAF based helicopter, but that’s irrelevant really.
  16. We had just come out of the Parcel Yard and went to catch a train, I have never heard as many sirens before like that, then on the platform news started breaking so onto Sky sports news and it was the ticker tape headline. Awful night, truly horrific accident, not a lot the best pilots in the world could do in that situation.
  17. You need ask some of your mates that question then, a few seasons ago at the Etihad they gave up singing from 60-70 minutes onwards, I asked them why they’d stopped (stood right behind the 3 regulars pre Covid who went every game) and they’re answer was they can only start so many songs and we were getting beaten badly. But what they fail to realise was the rest of us around them were singing every chant. Are UFS fair weather then? You can reply with why didn’t you start a chant, I don’t claim to be in a group who see that as their prerogative at games but I do always join in, they claim to be making sections better but didn’t want to participate anymore. Odd that.
  18. Serious? Loudest noise today came from the 3 minutes of stoppage time on the board. Woeful all around.
  19. Club took 4 coaches so saying there were 13 or however many is a bit exaggerated. Serious question, if the atmosphere affected you that much why were you sat in the home end and not the away end actually supporting your team and making a noise?
  20. Not sure if serious, if you’re that concerned why not just get the attention of an orange coated steward? Anyway on the smoking subject, an away game a few years ago, could’ve been St James, after the match everyone queues on the stairs as normal at aways and a lad lights up near us, his mate tells him about smoking in a ground, he says ‘what are they going to do? Throw me out?’ I thought that was a very good answer seeing as you can be stood for 5 to 10 minutes when right at the back after a game. Plus not a steward in sight apart from around the stair opening area.
  21. I’ve just read that statement they put up and nowhere can I see where the FT considers NFT ticketing, it’s just a load of babble with no way of knowing if they’re for or against it. So Foxes Trust are you for or against NFT? Simple enough question but you don’t seem to answer it.
  22. It was hardly full steam ahead when we were in the top flight, that just sounds like an excuse now. Get back up then how long will they wait? You know just in case. Spent all my life in the construction industry and the more you wait the more it will cost, that now is more relevant than ever with build costs.
  23. I thought the ‘straight back up’ song got going quite well yesterday but they’ll be a few that say it’s just a copy of United’s ‘20 times’. So what? No chant is original theoretically and most come from religious stuff sang in churches years ago.
  24. When we played them their club even put on free food in the concourse, no need for it but they did, also didn't they have a banner printed that got past over our heads from home to away end, it has been a few years and I can't remember a lot from it. Was top drawer by them though.
  25. That surprised me TBH, I take it Vicarage Road did the same yesterday then.
