Again, IMO it honestly doesn't matter that the majority of the demonstrators were peaceful and/or had "legitimate concerns" today. The pathway that they're wanting to go down leads, with or without their consent, to a place where everyone not of the "right" skin tone is a second class citizen at best or a target for extreme violence and removal at worst.
-
I'm sure that they are. If they keep following this path, they're going to get an ethnostate anyway, though.
-
Right. I'm not sure where the idea that a lot of people with "legitimate concerns" choose to make a distinction between any example of non-white faces comes from, because (with a few token/remarkable exceptions) it simply isn't the case.

Infiltrate, provoke masks off, neutralise. Clinical.
-
And don't forget the leftist/MI5 agents within the larger crowd itself ready to make all of these incredibly decent people look bad, guys.
-
Well, so runs the theory.
-
This is true. The problem comes when that philosophy then ends up affecting the rest of the world through the sheer cultural and other power the US brings to bear. As it did, and does now.
-
And a lot of the other half stems a lot from the political becoming personal and the obsession with personal legacy, IMO. Another unhealthy US import. Look at the comments from Kirk's grieving widow about his legacy, for instance. Not "we're mourning, respect our privacy", but "his politics were more important than his life and they go on".

304 it finishes. Proper entertainment. -
Of course they were going to go there, though.

Highest score in a T20 involving two top tier teams is 297, FYI. -
Par for the course, I think. (Which I'm assuming he will be on at some point today.)

Again. -
Well, yes. They're going to try to turn this into political theatre. Hopefully, there will be too many people who choose not to buy.

There's something of a difference between Elton John singing about it and a high ranking government official using it to canonise a man whose death, while horribly tragic and violent, really should be no more important than the other lives of people going about their business in the US before likewise dying a violent gun-related death that day.
-
Bit of both there .

What happens now will be interesting in a very macabre way. The current administration will want to make an example of the guy (if he is indeed guilty of this), but if that happens, that will take time, and one wonders what else might happen in the wider world during that time.

Speak for yourself mate, mens problems should always be treated with sensitivity.

In better news all round, on this topic: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8xrqxk9p4xo The former president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, has been sentenced to 27 years and three months in prison after being found guilty of plotting a military coup. A panel of five Supreme Court justices handed down the sentence just hours after they had convicted the former leader. You see, America? This is how you deal with wannabe autocratic leaders who won't walk away and inspire coup attempts. Not elect them a second time.

On the topic of flying monkeys above, good of the Mail to give Farage a chance to vent his fauxrage about recent events this morning. Speculation dressed as fact and leading questions - par for the course rhetoric for that particular paper.
-
Yes, oddly enough.
-
A reminder that everything regarding the shooter and their motives, including (especially including) the AI-supported rabble rousing by Felon#47 and his flying monkeys at various media outlets including the Mail, is speculative at the present time.
-
Which ones were those? Not seen any reports on that.
-
I guess we'll find that out in due course too. At least some of the rest of the world seems to be able to deal with such "strongmen". Shame more can't.
-
Awful. You do wonder how this bloke wasn't dealt with by the appropriate government entities before this. That being said, as if the talking heads going on about this care about Ukrainians - or women - except to utilise them as chat capital at times like this.
