I think you're all just being miserable. Was at Bournemouth away that was great. Missed Preston away and it sounded mega. Managed to bag a ticket right next to the Blackburn fans in M block Family Stand which was a first. And it was great fun. Rovers fans were brilliant and so were ours for most of the game. Losing didn't help and there wasn't much goalmouth action in the first half for us. But the party vibe was there. You absolutely cannot hear the Kop or L1 or anyone from this corner at all so it's easy to believe nobody is singing. The trophy lift took a while to assemble and shame we couldn't go on the pitch but I imagine having pyrotechnics and kids about meant there was no chance. The players all did a lap and it was sad to wave goodbye to to several who I think we all feel like we're on first-name terms with! I couldn't see the trophy no idea where that disappeared to. The song selection was good fun. I suppose the general idea was to keep the music light-hearted and somewhat tongue in cheek for an afternoon giggle. It was a celebration as well as a final farewell and in that regard the job was done.

It may be Vardy's last ever game for us but even if not he deserves a bit more than 'jamie Vardy's having a party': He's got the whole world in his hands He's got the whole world in his hands He's got the whole world in his hands Jamie's got the whole world in his hands

Luckily was browsing my inbox before the Friday was out lo and behold few tickets left. Managed to grab one I think it's either unsold Blackburn tickets or adjacent to the sway fans in the family stand. New experience.

4 strikers on around 350,000 a week at leasst between them. In the second division. You'd never know it.

The players seem exhausted? I don't understand why the entire tactic all season was to conserve energy yet here we are looking knackered.

Clearly a board level decision was made to 'go big or go home' and it all seemed plausible. What the board wasn't able to do was recognise when they were throwing good money after bad. Agents were sweet-talking Whelan, Congerton and Rudkin into hyper-inflated salaries and fees. Top should have recognised what was happening but I imagine inexperience and trust got the better of him. He's learned his lesson the hard way. We'll splurge on lawyers but it's inevitable we are docked points somewhere. We deserve it too. I don't think any fan thought players like Smithies, Daka and Vestergaard were on the kinds of salaries they're on. Which is also why nobody will buy them. (Side note: the latest reveals are going to have a massive morale-deflating effect on KDH and other academy products who seem to be as good as the players brought in on 5x the salary.) The club needs a reset. King Power should stay they're good owners overall and cannot be accused of lacking ambition. Top's on a learning curve. He needs to grow up quickly though by making some heads roll - to show he is in charge and won't accept such poor performance. If he can't do that then no lessons have been learned and we could quickly see the club falling into a Sunderland-like abyss.

Have to win all 7. This season's championship is wild.
-
On the upside I might be able to get a season ticket again.

Right lads, we aren't going anywhere for the next decade.

There you go

Fatawu left foot floater special.
-
Wout Faes is both our best defender and attacker. How did that happen then?
-
How! Would have taken the penalty!
-
Oh well, can look forward to promotion
-
OMG I thnk that's at least 4 times Fatawu has done the cut in move with his left foot and fallen flat on his face.
-
Vestergaard can't play in the premier league. Just run straight past him
-
Fatawu deserves another! To the pre-chorus tune of Bohemian Rhapsody: AB-DUL-LAH We will not let you go! (Others: Not let you go!) AB-DUL-LAH We will not let you go! (Others: Not let you go!) (Altogether) WE WILL NOT LET YOU GO WE WILL NOT LET YOU GO WE WILL NOT LET YOU GO ...whoaaaaaaa...(buildup)... ... Scream out the guitar riff and bounce!... etc. I'm sure some tweaks would make this great to add to the ABBA song!

He seemed super nervous. Occasion got to him. Hope he gets another chance.

Leeds United (A) 3-1 - Post-Match Thread

I think the disallowed goal was a fair call without VAR. I thought that Mavididi miss was shocking but then Daka outdid him minutes later. Mavididi had to be taken off his head dropped and he was clearly mentally struggling as a result of the miss. But that then suggests we have a serious issue with mental strength. And if nothing else McAteer highlighted just how important Mavididi's defensive contribution is. Daka remains a question mark. Clearly preferred for his movement but his attacking game is just such a lottery. I still don't understand how he managed to miss that. Today and Bournemouth gave a glimpse of what a premier league game might look like with the current squad and it's a little concerning. We even saw the return of the Faes own goal and I'm sure I'm not the only one who was triggered !! Not sure what to make of tonight. Maresca got the game spot on. Leedss were gassed by 60 mins and as usual we invite opposition to give us a game with mistimed subs or just general apathy. Saw all of that in the last 10 unfortunately. Oh well, finally some jeopardy back at home, should mean fans stay until at least 88 minutes 😬 -
I don't think Daka starts for us again this season except perhaps I. What are considered the easier games. There's no reason to
-
Bringing Soumare back into the squad would destroy morale. Someone who's performances typified relegation. There are enough people around to remember and probably not forgive. Absolutely not worth taking the risk. Have to cut losses and for his own benefit he needs to rediscover himself in a more amenable division/club.
-
I think we can all safely agree, this second half was B. O. R. I. N. G
-
We can't have Faes and Vestegaard in the same lineup in the Premier League. It will be suicidal against pretty much 15 out of 20 teams. Some fans seem hell bent on finding out the hard way.
-
Stoke were terrible. Looked completely devoid of confidence or organisation even in the first quarter. In danger of going down even with all their signings. Shows the danger of a scatter-gun approach to both team building and manager appointments. Suggests we owe some credit to our execs 😬

He's going to be a 100m goalkeeper
