Good luck to Winks. But this is why I think he's a great signing. He's not a Coady. He leads by example and sounds like he isn't afraid of telling a few home truths either, which is excellent. If he stays fit, I want him to stay, if we're in the championship. Him and JJ can be part of a rebuild and both have the right mentality. Let's see how he gets on fitness wise, but we needed a strong centre back and this is it.

Our fans will call him " that kid from Peps team" so dont worry.

Needs to be locked. There's absolutely no chance he comes here. I totally believe we have contacted him, that I'm not doubting as Top is desperate, clueless and brainless. But it was a short contact with laughter on the other side of the phone. I can imagine it was a very one sided approach.

I personally see this as a positive step in the right direction. We need a leader - check. We need a capable CB - check. My worry is his injury record. Like others have said, Huth didn't have a great injury record and he didn't turn out too bad. Let's see, but at least he brings something that we are missing entirely from team...if we can get it over the line.

My worry that after his start at West Ham, is he the same keeper he was from last time. His form dipped after his injury. If he turns back into the Mads we saw 1st time round, it's a no brainer. He's better shop stopper that Jakub and he'll potentially save us from relegation.
