  1. I don't blame them for making some of the comments they have. Some of the posts in the Watford pre-match thread have been ridiculously OTT - I think WFC have only conceded 10 goals all season so definitely won't be a push over and in Ighalo (sp) and Deeney they have a strong mobile attack that have been causing defences issues. That being said, I do think we will win but it certainly won't be comfortable.
  2. Haha - ok, thought I'd ask
  3. Cambridge Fox, are you 'Leicester Fan'? You write in a similar way and 'Not for one minute do I think we are better but I'm not the one calling people tinpot' is a strange comment for someone to make who isn't involved in the argument...
  4. I kinda see his point though. Last year we were organised and tight as shown by the fact that even when we were losing games we never lost by more than two goals. This year we're so expansive that we're due a game where we concede 3/4 and might not be able to outscore the other team. Can see us getting turned over 3/4-1 at some point if we continue with 442 but not to Arsenal, not today.
  5. That's what made me question it though - Benny had no travelling and no matches so shouldn't be injured/tired etc. Quite strange. I'm not too disappointed from what I've seen so far...bombscare.
  6. Anyone know why he wasn't in the squad yesterday?
  7. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/15205/9975608/paul-mersons-transfer-window-grades-premier-league-business-rated? I think you can only appreciate how bad his marking was when you see how he scored other teams. The highlights for me were: Aston Villa - A... they've bought Joleon Lescott (flop), Micha Richards (question marks over fitness and general ability) and Gestede (unproven at this level) whilst selling many of their best players. Arsenal - B...they haven't bought one outfield player - the only team in the top five European leagues not to do so. Man U - B-...I think it's fair to say they've spent outrageous amounts on unproven players when the teams around them have spent far wiser. Sunderland - B-...They're going to struggle. End of. Some of his justifications are hilarious too, "I'm going to give [West Brom] a B because Jonny Evans has played for a big club"
  8. Absolutely doggo
  9. This is my favourite chant. Hairs on the back of my neck stand up whenever we sing it!
  10. I hope people keep writing us off, slagging off Ranieri, saying that Okazaki is rubbish, calling our squad depth poor...all this will do is build the siege mentality that served us so well last season. I really hope Ranieri is cute enough to play up to this too.
  11. It is genuinely sad news but your self righteous point scoring is pathetic. If you wish to share your condolences publicly then please do and you will find many people who wish to do the same(myself included). But don't come on here criticising other people for going about their daily lives as if they don't care about the situation.
  12. It is unprecedented - for a team rooted to the bottom of the table to go onto win that number of games and survive is something which has rarely ever been seen before. By definition it's unprecedented. Look at it objectively, we were outside of the PL for a decade meanwhile teams like Swansea, Stoke, Everton etc have established themselves as PL teams. You've only go to look at their recent finishes to see that: Stoke - 12th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 13th, 9th, 9th Swansea - 11th, 9th, 12th Everton - 4th, 11th, 6th, 5th, 5th, 8th, 7th, 7th, 6th, 5th, 11th The lowest any of them have finished in the last 11 years (or since they joined the PL) was where we (miraculously) finished last season so you cannot tell me we're in the same bracket. It doesn't make any sense and you can't back it up with any sort of statistic or fact.
  13. No. We're not in the same bracket at all. By your logic we beat Man U and drew with Arsenal so we should be playing Champions League Football right? Beating a team once in a season doesn't equate to being a mid-table side consistently for 3/4 seasons and if you can't see that then there really isn't much point in having this debate. For what it's worth I think we will be in the same bracket as the aforementioned teams before too long but one season in which we survived thanks to an unprecedented run doesn't put us there yet. We need a sustained period of success and safety before we can do that. Come on...admit you're wrong.
  14. You are absolutely deluded to think that we are classed in the same bracket as West Ham, Swansea, Everton etc...we're in our second season. 8 weeks from the end of last season we were all but gone and now we're supposedly of the same level as Everton who have been an ever present in the PL and regularly pushing for Europe. Lost. The. Plot.
  15. Please sign Trotter. Just cos we can.
