  1. ANNOUNCE TAGLIATELLE
  2. Just ‘a bit’?
  3. People need to chill (no pun). As soon as Chilwell's transfer goes through, this will be announced. Simple.
  4. They have also lost Eriksen and Bale in recent years too. The fact is, bottlers or not, they’ve been competing for the past few years. Looked to be our closest challengers in 2016, a couple more top 4 finishes, Champs League finals etc. Players will generally stay when that’s the case, especially if there isn’t a clear step up available - Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been pretty inconsistent in that time. Also, they’ve kept the core of their team together for quite a while and so this probably makes it more appealing to stay - people generally want to work with people they like and know
  5. There have been so many players that we’re linked with previously that end up not coming off, leaving me gutted. This would not be one of those times.
  6. Didn't someone say that he had a falling out with BR before he left Celtic?
  7. Agree with the sentiment but if Chilwell is funding our transfer activities then LB needs to be one of the incoming players. Thomas looks like decent cover, but he’s not a starter yet.
  8. Posts like this make me think that people forget that there are two teams on the pitch. You can only play free-flowing football if the opposition allow you to. If they stop us from doing that and we don’t have a plan b, then results are going to dip
  9. If this happens, I think most of us will take it. Given the shorter season, the fixture congestion is going to be tough for a team of our size whilst balancing Europe too
  10. Depends how you look at it I guess...
  11. I can’t see anything other than United scoring first and that spells big trouble for us, as they will sit back and hit us on the break. Equally if we do score first then that means we’ll probably sit back and United will come at as and we’ll crumble. So basically, we’re screwed either way...let’s hope it’s 0-0 and Chelsea get tonked.
  12. It would be classic us to win on Sunday and then lose out by a single goal on GD.
  13. I don’t want him to go but I disagree with your point slightly here. If we were looking at a one-off then I would agree that there is very little a manager can do, but when performances and results have been poor for a sustained period then the blame has to sit with BR.
  14. Can’t disagree with the facts but it’s a bit of an unfair comparison. Fernandes has joined United just as various players are hitting form, although the two probably aren’t mutually exclusive. When you’ve got Rashford, Martial and Greenwood moving around you, you’re bound to create and score. We’ve been so static and predictable these last few months that it’s hardly surprising that Maddison’s stats are so poor.
  15. Would love to see ArsenalTV react to that one 😂
  16. This is it - as soon as you join talksport, all you’re paid to do is be contentious, to divide opinion and encourage callers to dial in and call you out on your BS. They probably don’t believe half the stuff they say.
  17. 2 seconds coverage coming up on our goal as the players are walking out ...guarantee it
  18. This is where Brendan needs to take a leaf out of Claudio’s book and peddle out the ‘one game at a time’ mantra. Reading the above has stressed me out so can only imagine what it’s gonna do to the players.
  19. For me, Nacho always looks better in a two and this change of formation is so suited to him. He’s got good feet and an ability to change direction quickly and bring others into play. By playing 3/5/2 there are plenty of bodies around him to link up with which should help us to create more chances. Need to stick with it though.
  20. I haven’t worked it out but I’m assuming we made 3 in play and then another set at HT which is fine. The 3 opportunities don’t include any made at HT
  21. I like this formation but wouldn’t go with the personnel. Ndidi and Tielemans > Hamza and Praet (as long as they’re fit and ready) for me. Not against giving Vardy a rest tbh. Seen suggestions for 4-4-2 diamond, but I think we’d get killed on the wings and JJ needs protection whilst he’s finding his feet.
  22. Could say the same about Brighton...
  23. BR has told him to do exactly this. He’s said it in various interviews previously - he basically wants Vardy to stand as high as possible in order to stretch the game for the likes of Maddison, Tielemans, Barnes etc to create in that space. Issue is that it just leaves him isolated, especially when Maddison isn’t playing or isn’t getting on the ball
