I wish him well. Thought his style of football was turgid and boring as hell. Did the job but it got painful towards the end.
-
I think it will take us quite some time to bounce back from this. It could, conceivably, get worse. We’ll have Premier League infrastructure and League 1 money. Most of the shite in our side either walks for nothing or will be practically given away. I doubt we rustle up a competitive team and Rowett certainly isn’t the man, but he probably will be. Dark days ahead folks, darker than even we’re used to.

LCFC 2-2 Preston, post-match thread

It’s very tight now. Running out of games rapidly and no appreciable change in form. We are dire. We might survive, likely not. -
Fear ruins football and quickly infects teams. Good point considering, but we need wins now.
-
That’s not what I said. Nice but predictable twist though. And I’m not selling anything either. What I said was that, when everyone was jumping up and down about the FA Cup, which was awesome, failure to secure CL for the 2nd season in a row would see our steady and relentless demise back to where and what we were. It has. If you can show me the list of prospective buyers for our club, then perhaps I would withdraw my statement - Be careful what you wish for.
-
This all just puts me in mind of, be careful what you wish for. This exact position was what I feared and voiced here years ago. Got laughed at. Doesn’t matter now. I think we have to do something, but I doubt this protest achieves much in reality. There aren’t a bunch of potential owners knocking on our door. we could simply be jumping out of the frying pan etc.

New manager bounce ain’t going to be very high, is it? More of a half-hearted flop. Yes we showed more fight 2nd half. Would have been difficult not to show some improvement over the 1st. Finishing was dreadful. Defending worse. Not sure I’m that enthused to be honest. My enthusiasm mirrors our players.
-
The way both teams are playing this game could be over in the first 20 mins. Every other team gets a new manager bounce - except us. We love to buck a trend. 🤣🤣

Well believe it

Most of us, who have been fans for decades, are well used to the chaos that seems to surround our club. We’ve seen some crazy highs and woeful lows in the last 10 years. This cliff plunge was entirely obvious the moment we missed out on CL footie the 2nd time. I called it then because I could see it. Just like I can see further chaos now. I don’t think we will be relegated this season, but I’m actually not bothered if we do. It might speed the clear out and a proper restructure. We need it desperately. Just the joys of following Leicester City.

Would you take Pearson til the end of the season?
ARM1968 replied to LCFCCHRIS's topic in Leicester City Forum
Won’t happen. Shame. He would be epic. -
He had to go, but now the circus wheel starts to spin with no idea of how to stop or what to do. At some point the dial will stop on another clown and off we go again.
-
First time in many years, but I actually can’t be arsed. Our owner must be able to see what’s going on and clearly doesn’t give a damn. Nor can I, frankly.
-
Just bobbing around like a turd that won’t flush. Dire performance again and like most of our wins, individual brilliance. We have turned football into something that just isn’t a team game, at least not for us. just cannot enjoy this football or get behind this manager. He’s a dead man waiting. It’s not a matter of if.
-
Well, if life has taught me anything at all, it’s this—things can always get a lot worse. we are a directionless, rudderless mess on and off the field. Gone from challenging for Champions league to a joke in no time. Quite the achievement really.

LCFC 1-2 Watford, post match thread
ARM1968 replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Players aren’t performing for Marti or themselves. It won’t change. Marti is below bang average. Time to go. We are sinking fast and losing all spirit in the camp. -
Marti is unfortunately below average. I could get us promoted with this squad. Mind you, there’d be a few bruised egos in the squad.
-
Ben Nelson is a cracking player. Skill had a very decent game. James was very good. First half was pretty much flawless and should have ended up 0-4. Second half was baffling. We had them for pace up front. They had to press to try and get back in the game, and yet the instruction seems to have been just keep things tight. Poor management. Not convince by this manager one bit.
-
As much as Marti is out of his depth, clearly, the players are good enough to cruise this league IF they put the effort in and IF they play as a team. They’re not doing that. However, if Martin can’t get them firing on at least a couple of cylinders then he needs to go, and quickly. This is another shambolic appointment by people who know nothing about football. Embarrassing.
-
For whatever reason the players have obviously downed tools. They don’t believe in the manager and we don’t believe in them. On paper we have pretty much h the best squad in the league capable of easy promotion. In reality and mid table finish would flatter us massively at the moment. I’d bin Marti now. No more hanging on just in case. He isn’t good enough. There are a few managers around, whether they’d come or not is another question.
-
It’s a good question. Honest answer is, the moment we bottle 4th place second season on the trot. I said it then that we would see a rapid decline, and we have. Enzo did all he could. Had he stayed we’d of still been relegated last season. Fundamentals at the club are all wrong. We have further to fall I’m afraid. Was nice while it lasted.
-
In summary, apart from that stunning goal, we’ve been shit. Created absolutely nothing. Swansea edged it, but they’ve not been great either.
-
Hmm. Must have missed hit that 🤣🤣

Personally think we did enough to get something more from the game. A point away is still ok. We aren’t setting the league alight that’s true enough. We need to find some form and some confidence, we appear to have little of either, but we’re still in the mix. -

Too soon to say anything one way or the other about Caranza. He could come good or at least decent. He might just be shit. Wouldn’t want to condemn him so quickly, although I know it’s the FT way.
