Appreciate the sentiment but a bit of a misread to say that to a bunch of fans that are watching their club in total capitulation, failing to beat the worst team in the history of this league whilst marooned in the relegation zone with 5 games to go. Ironically, if a bunch of our fans understand the situation and had actually been panicking like most on here, we probably wouldn't be in this position.

Yep, he works, just not very smart (with or without the ball). Plus he's the sulkiest player I've seen which adds to the narrative that he's lazy

And that's why the argument than Monga isn't all that/hasn't done much is slightly redundant. We've seen flashes from Monga that we've never seen from Mavididi and they have a similar output with Monga having half the game time. Not to mention Mavididi gets more space than any player on the pitch (maybe some credit due for that). Give Monga that kind of space he'd create 10 times what Mavididi does.

He doesn't get a chance unlike Mavididi who is undroppable. Monga has looked more threatening in a couple of cameos than Mavididi has for about 20 games

An asymmetrical 3 at the back based on the end of the first half was needed. Just enough covering players but focus on getting people in the pockets.

We look much more solid at the back in general but some of his team selections are grim. Winks ahead of Page and Mavididi seemingly undroppable

Today was the perfect game for him because he can just sit there and dictate play yet Skipp, who was totally anonymous, played more passes into forward areas from about 20 times fewer touches on the ball. Also completely negates Mukasa (as well as Skipp). 1/10 performance in the context. Oh, and he was back to his little skipping out of 50/50's

Eradicate that early goal and as poor as this has been, I think you'd feel pretty comfortable that we'll win. But this group can't handle any pressure so now they're under extreme pressure, it feels hopeless

You gave Monga half of these openings that Mavididi gets, and you can guarantee he'd have created a decent chance

We've been abject and yet still much the better side, so giving up such a soft goal at the start is a killer, especially given we might fluke a goal but not more than that
