  1. The subs are so negative as well. Still 3 central midfielders on the pitch
  2. Some of these players are pathetic. VK done way too easily. Winks in no man's land. Vestergaard so slow to react
  3. That is one of the worst misses I've ever seen. Though on the replay they might also be the best save I've ever seen
  4. At this point, the blame is on the players. So many of them half arsed and he's been left to play many square pegs in round holes
  5. Ayew surely on for Soumare at half time.
  6. Winks loves a surging run in a straight line
  7. Vestergaard has played well so far but that sums up just what a liability he is. Gets dragged out of position and can't get back
  8. Absolutely classic from us
  9. The silver stars are also given to players under 22 (I think). So after a while you may see a player who is 21 with 4 golds and 1 silver, but when they are a little older that will change to just gold (4, 4.5, 5 stars). To Mark's point about quality of team, it's sort of why the only real guarantee you're getting of potential is when you're one of the very best teams in the prem. That 5 star player when you're first promoted, could only be 3 star potential at a big team.
  10. Going to come up with a new name for him each save
  11. This is actually cleverer than you think as it works on 2 levels: - How much his teams love passing the ball around at the back - How he'll try his best to pass the blame onto anybody else until he's got a a good scapegoat. Genius
  12. Get this out of the Leicester forum section. We're doing well on the depressing front, so let's not add another one into the mix
  13. He was definitely the best of the bunch but I think he's theoretically got more competition than anyone else because there's at least 2 options in each of the positions he plays. Would much rather see him ahead of VK but surely VK has to be in for Thomas at the least now.
  14. Read this a few times and still can't quite believe it's genuine
  15. If you think Vestergaard has been good this season, then your bar is so low, you might be lucky enough to find it in the earth's core. He's been our best defender this season, on that we can agree. But that's a reflection of his teammates inadequacies or lack of game time. He's very capable at this level in a 2 specific roles; either in the middle of a back 3 or as part of a team that's going to dominate most games. If not, he's mediocre at best, pitiful at other times.
  16. There's some merit in the first part of that statement to be fair. Unfortunately, after looking somewhat competent at the back end of last season, he's completely fallen off a cliff and looks honking now.
  17. When did we sign all these lads?! They sound great
  18. Yes, he's probably been the best defender when you look at the amount of games played, and there's been some good performances from him. But he's also made several big mistakes or been involved in situations that have led to opposition goals. Excellent at passing the ball under no pressure but that's the extent of his skillset. I think if we're dominating games, it's hard to argue against him at this level, but that's not what's happening. He's actually causing us a big problem for 2 reasons: - Because he is probably the slowest footballer in history, he's forces us to sit much deeper and therefore pressing is out of the question. Or at least, when we do press, we are so horribly out of shape. You only have to look at the massive gaps between the defenders at times to see that (he is definitely not solely to blame). - As we're not dominating games, we end up seeing him and Winks occupying the same positions and role. It worked under Enzo because we were so dominant they teams sat off him which meant Winks could generally take up more advanced positions, even if still deepish, where he obviously has more guile than Vestergaard. What we're seeing now is them both trying to do a similar role and aside from wasting Winks' better qualities (and he's a big problem too btw), it's taking yet another player away from attacking so we're left with no options. He's much better than Faes and he's obviously a good player at this level, but he's not what's needed now. I don't think Nelson has that ability to wrap those passes into the front man like JV but he's definitely got the same long range passing ability, plus he can bring the ball out of defence with pace and has that pace to recover when playing a high line.
  19. Top goes, Rudkin does. Focusing on Rudkin doesn't get meaningful change and Top is the root of all problems. Plus the Rudkin stuff is easy for people to claim it's overly personal (rightly or wrongly) and don't think that would be the same with Top.
  20. He's still a billion times better than Vestergaard because he actually knows how to defend
  21. And that's the problem. At least with the last couple, it literally couldn't get any worse. That's not necessarily the case here. Set up to fail whoever it is.
  22. Not fit to lace his boots. And as much as it pains some people on here, if Chilwell hadn't suffered so many injuries, he'd probably still be England's left back
  23. Nope, he's arguably the biggest the problem. He's that's much better/the only player capable of playing this role that he has to start. But it's so clear he doesn't give a crap. Makes so many pathetic tackles (look at the pen because whilst it was awful from Thomas, that was one of the laziest, clumsy, weak tackles you'll see), jogs around a lot and randomly decides when he can give a crap. Catastrophic failure to not go all out to try and replace him in the summer.
  24. I'm probably the most patient person on here when it comes to judging players but he's crap isn't he. Literally no redeemable assets. If Pato the postman has more demonstrable qualities than you, you've got a problem.
  25. Should be far too early for him to go given the mess of the club and how every manager is set up to fail. But he's sure doing some good work in speeding things up in that direction.
