Our pies talk a good game but they're not full enough and burnt on the bottom. About once a season I convince myself this won't be the case. It almost definitely will be though.
-
Yeah it's been foul getting in today. I was forced to go to the pub afterwards to allow the traffic to settle.....
-
I still can't understand this. It's partially understandable whilst we're dog shit but we're doing well. Why not spend the last five watching the result come in.

His finishing has improved. Seems very competent in the box at the minute. Hopefully this is a spring board to next season.
-
Such a slick move. Deserved a goal. Marc Albrighton showing his value.

Spent Sunday making all the wrong choices but made up for it today. Very good on the ball.

We didn't look in great shape pissing about playing Liverpool in Singapore with half the team desperate to leave. Unreal turnaround for sure. -
Can't argue with the results.

Blew em away in the end. -
So many of our ex players moving on to clubs in the best competitions. Nothing short of a scandal for Rodgers to be allowed to mismanage us down.
-
That's about my take. However, happy to eat humble pie on fury if he actually walks the walk.

In and of itself it's not a brand new genre or defining example. The combat isn't as good as cyberpunk or Witcher 3. But it does have an the classic Bethesda playability and storyline. It's rich in locations. It's just a very very good game.
-
At least someone benefited from it
-
Just seems like he couldn't give a single frick which is really weird considering he played quite a bit of football for us

Dreadful time. Proper **** you to the fans.

Nobody ever says 'it's a learning process' and everyone says it's 'the process'. I want to know what that actually means? These aren't learning a new game. Not ****ing about with the ball in the box is not a new idea and is fairly ingrained at all levels of football. Why is suddenly part of a nebulous process. Yeah - it is going okay. But I can also see issues that are not being addressed. Parallel to when we were fourth in the premier league and going okay and there were issues that were being unaddressed. In that instance it was just part of Rodgers system. Now it's Maresca's process.
-
What's the process then? Everyone mentions it. What is it? Is it like Brendan's system that everyone referenced but couldn't adequately explain. Just outline why it's essential that our keeper must pass to the defenders even if they're under pressure and we don't deviate to that all how, what the process actually is, and how the two meet? Perhaps then I'll understand why my saying 'that needs to change' is dangerous.

ItS tHe PrOcEsS How is ****ing about with the ball as the attackers pressure is part of a big system that nobody can see? Possession at the back is intended to draw teams out of their position to take advantage. Today the attackers were positioned on our defenders back knowing that we would play that way. It nearly cost us. What picture does that fit into? Fans are utterly entitled, even if are winning, to point out that a slavish dedication to playing one way and one way only led us to ruin very recently.
-
Sometimes we do - yes. The second goal was amazing and we were in control for large chunks. There are issues that are getting looked past in the way we play though. Our players are good enough to negate the errors but we need to be mindful. Maresca needs to stop the keeper ****ing about with the ball. It's nearly cost us in a good few games where our quality has just edged it. However, if you point that out 'its the process' has become the go to response for people who think it's seen outstanding rhetorical move. It's the process. A nebulous and hard to define concept unless you've been to football University. Which, of course, I'm being highly sarcastic about. You can't raise legitimate criticism at the minute without someone metaphorically adjusting their glasses, clearing their throat, and shutting you right up with 'it's the process'. Nobody can ever actually explain why continually making errors that will get harshly punished in the premier League fit into this mythical process. It's like the days of Rodgers when people felt smug by never ever ever criticising him and if you pointed out room for improvement they'd tell you 'trust the system'. So, Una, I'm being intentionally silly to mock the above.

'The Process' and 'ManagerNameBall' in one post. You must be doing your football PhD. In as simple terms as I can - 'the process' isn't an excuse, it's a deflection. The tactics can be criticised. It isn't healthy to ignore problems. Teams putting players onto our keeper and us NOT changing that tactic is a problem.
-
It's the process don't you know? Any tactical error is just the process. That way nobody can argue otherwise.
-
Agreed. If you don't genuflect to tactical decisions and call it 'the process' then you didn't go to football university and can't criticise. People like to think that they are clever saying 'it pulls attackers out of position' which to an extent I understand. However their attackers have been placed on the defenders and Mads. We're not pulling them out of position. That IS their position and we're giving them the ball. The in fact we're engaging the effectiveness of their tactics. It's needless and we really need to change it. We're winning which masks a lot but we're doing the same things as Rodgers but different. Doing something that is actively dangerous and, in the Premier League, will 100% cost us games. We're winning though so suggesting this is dangerously subversive thinking.
-
You realise that this was the problem with the Rodgers reign and tactics don't you? You're aware of that right? An obvious flaw in 'the plan'. People getting shitty about justifiable criticism. Calling it a 'process ' as though it's the apprentice. People should expect better of the keeper. The Tactics aren't an infallible diety immune from criticism. It isn't a 'process' stop trying to elevate it. Manage the team in front of you and don't give the ball away in the box.
