  1. Tickets thread for this I'd have thought
  2. Plymouth haven't scored 20 goals at the King Power.
  3. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs deserves equal voice with any other classic movie. I mean any.
  4. If you don't understand the joy of Jamie Vardy scoring goals then you do not understand football.
  5. There is nothing finer than seeing him wheel away from goal and give it some beans. You cannot convince me otherwise. It's the finest sight in English football.
  6. Vernacular for the meeting place in the city prior to the game. Going to the boozer before football? Meet me at the clock tower.
  7. Agreed. Had control of the game. Played advantage well and consistently.
  8. Batty has England caps.
  9. Adams fell out with Dean Sturridge and drummed him out of the club. That season we were relegated and Dean Sturridge would have scored the goals to keep us up. Adams is remembered fondly - and with some good reasons - but he definitely made some very bad decision.
  10. Inflation more than halved - let's put the energy prices up.
  11. I've never held them in high esteem - what with employing Chris Moyles and Greg James and so on - but the drive radio for Radio 1 is a national embarrassment. Utterly insipid and tedious shrieking. Never again.
  12. Give him two, Mods, he's not learnt.
  13. Just for an update - they upped the price to something approaching the cost. It wasn't exact but not terrible. I've now got the headache of navigating new car purchasing.
  14. Firstly - I wouldn't thank a current conservative MP. These are dreadful vultures of avarice who are actively ruining the country. Secondly - that's the biggest example of moral failing that they can find in him? Not rampant corruption, sexism, or racism? He could do a job for the current government I reckon.
  15. Goodness me. Is there no clause or edict in which there can be a 'no confidence' election called immediately. This is just net loss for Britain now. Catty scrabbling and infighting causing harm to the population.
  16. It's the same in a lot of departments, isn't it? Education was running on a minister every 9 months for a while.
  17. There are videos of crisis actors circulating that make me wonder if they were faked in order to cast doubt not in the other videos but I'm the better veracity of fake videos. The amount of clandestine media that the Internet allows for is overwhelming.
  18. Primed and enabled by a right wing government that wants to divide and antagonise the public at all points.
  19. I hope Fofana and Chilwell stay injured. They both feigned injury to get away so it would be brilliant to see them sidelined for ages. Poetic.
  20. There is a certain trendiness - in some folks’ minds - in being a braying contrarian. Hermansen, if sold now, would go for five times what we’ve bought him for. For that reason alone he’s brilliant.
  21. Is this a Chilwell injury? Miss the last few weeks before the opening of the transfer window to safeguard a move?
  22. Yeah - absolutely. Fill your boots with the Jesus!
  23. Jesus, do you have an idea of the timeline. He had already been side-lined by Rodgers and wasn't playing. He then signed a new contract. He would have been free to leave if he were out of contract - that's how a contract works.
  24. He'd have gotten football on a fabulous wage - annual salary a week - at whole host of clubs. Undeniable. He went to a champions League club when we were relegated. What kept him at a place he didn't feel alive with that option available? Let's no be bleeding hearts about this. Those two years would have been highly profitable so he sacrificed football. You can't then moan about that. It's a double edged sword. I don't have the sympathy that some have.
  25. I don't accept this at all. If money didn't matter to your average player there would be a greater spread of ability across the clubs. Naive to say money didn't have a say in him resigning his contract.
