The benefit of having family who support our beloved club, one of my favourite shirts from a special era. At the time due to starting a family and lack of funds could not get down as much as I would have liked, let alone buying the shirt. Absolute buzzing one of the best father's days and makes taking your son down with you to support the club worth it especially when they have the same passion as you, roll on August 10th

Full house home first and last game also on Boxing day,
-
Past 3 seasons the first two fixtures have been against a top six side and a promoted side, will probably be the same. The last home opening game was against Sunderland and we all know how that ended
-
Very poor from England worst they have played for a while, the midfield is nowhere, how you have a midfield including Delph when you have the likes of Maddison and Foden beggars belief.

Don't forget people "when the fun stops stop"

A very underated player, always put a shift in scored some cracking goals and was very skillful. For £200,000 he was a absolute steal even in those days. He was one of my favourite players of that era and have fond memories.

Apologies if it has already been asked/answered, but is the new kit being worn on Sunday?, be interesting to see how it looks before deciding whether to part with your cash.

Absolute class innings from Taylor a lot of our senior batsmen can learn how to construct an innings from him, so unlucky not to get his ton. No loose shots hit it went it was there to hit, hopefully not the next player to be sniped up by the bigger counties. Not sure if we are going to defend 340 there spinners played well, over to you Parkinson COYF.

Major changes required in the summer, like Murphy but I think they need to change direction and appoint someone externally, been a real shocking season they are miles behind the top 4 & 5. With so many stars in the side you do have to ask the question about the desire & aptitude within the squad.

Agree cannot see the point why not Hill, Lilley or Taylor, I know they didn't score big but scoreboard pressure had built once they come in. Looks like it's all we got though disappointingly, no sign of Abbas and no mention of a high profile T20 player when everyone else is adding to there squad, looks like the white ball is going to be frustrating non event sesson

Could be chasing 450+ at this rate, each of their batsmen pass 50. Bit like nets practice for them, cannot wait for the reply. We are just cannon fodder at the minute and cannot see how we are going to improve feel for Nico and what he has to work with.

Just out of interest what is the highest total achieved in the competition, looks in danger today!!!

Klein gone for 35 off 2 overs, going to be a long 50 overs!

Good shout, but it seems to be playing at their peak at voting time. Hazard has been pretty consistent throughout the year, just seems that city and Liverpool have dominated the league so is understandable that the team is built around them. The year we won the league didn't we have 4/5 in the team of the year just seems to be the way it goes. -

Think your right aren't they cast around February time, in the middle of United's best spell, I normally find the PFA team does not reflect the season well but apart from Pogba you cannot argue with the rest. -

Pogba named in the PFA team of the year cannot see that one myself, the rest are Liverpool and City players which is understandable. -

Wasn't there a play-off game at Wembley when a team was a couple of goals down, cameras watching them walk down Wembley way. Couple of minutes later it was level and you could see them running back up Wembley way . Cannot think of the teams but deffo a play-off game, went to penalties I think -
Very disappointing again, unfortunately I think it's all the county can afford and he knows it, would not have lasted this long at another county. Really need to score 300 plus to have any chance, even then you wouldn't count your chickens Ackermann steps up again

Cosgrove really needs runs badly, for confidence and kick start his season.

Normally the club are quite secretative about things like this, something does not seem quite right not sure I would do the photo shoot on viccy park, maybe they are casting for new models for fox & crop, Matty James days could be numbered

Credit where credit is due, although it was closer than it should be it was an excellent win, now the big question is can they follow this with another performance and the senior players stand up again. Well done brilliant entertainment over 700 runs and 14 odd wickets COYF

A real sad state of affairs at Grace Road, as a kid in the 80's I remember going down to watch players such as Gower, Willey, Roberts, Agnew, Taylor, Boon and then in the 90's players such as Maddy, Smith, Habib, Simmons, Benjamin, Ormond. Championship winners on two occasions and a decent if not great support. Over the years there has been a steady decline with the T20 offering a brief glimpse of something positive. I really don't know where the county go from here, they have tried to encourage new support but the fan base just does not seem to be there. Finances just don't seem to be there to attract players they so desperately need, at the moment they seem to have a mixture of average players at best with a mix of youth. Time and time again the senior players fail to step up on a regular basis and the one day cricket has turned into something of a joke. Really feel for Nico because his hands are tied and when the young players flourish thet are just poached by other counties, unfortunately I cannot see an end which is sad because i have had many good days and lots of memories, hopefully they can turn it around but they do need some financial support.

Very hard to look at, only visited last year, if it is due to renovation work then the contractors will face a hefty bill !!!!, not that money can replace years of history.
