I’ve been backing our opponents for many weeks now (I know it’s not good form but this team is that poor, that it’s a licence to print money). A team that cannot defend at all, has no goals in them is not a recipe to win matches. Piss poor

He also described the performance today as ‘outstanding’. I know it’s a low bar that this squad has set but it was for the most part far from outstanding. Yes, they huffed and puffed 2nd half but the lack of of quality as a team is simply staggering and one look at the bench is enough to know that there is nobody on there capable of changing a game in a positive manner. But there is no progressive pass available. Midfielders bar James barely make a suitable run. BDCR gets blown over if it’s windy which leaves two options in Ayew & Daka. How depressing must it be for our wingers? We have to rely on them simply cutting in & hitting a ‘worldie’ but that’s not to say that they are both incredibly wasteful. Yesterday was just depressing.

I don’t think that he had a great game on Saturday but technically he’s head and shoulders above most of our squad. Imagine being a midfielder for us and see that your forward options are the likes of Daka, Ayew, BCDR when you’ve received the ball. He’s playing with absolute duffers and the frustration is apparent. He was different class when he last appeared in this league under Enzo but he had KDH & Vardy as outlets to work with then.

That was an absolute abomination of a performance today. I went with high hopes of at least seeing some effort today after the Boro performance but there was nothing there. No fight, no energy, no ability just nothing. Ayew should brought into the office, paid up & have his contract ripped up I front of his eyes. Absolute mercenary. Does not even have the decency to let the fans vent their frustration at him at the end of the game. He’s an embarrassment.

I don’t know what you are seeing to defend him every time he gets criticised. It’s not his ‘running style’ that people are having a go at, it’s the lack of intensity and sheer effort that is obvious to other observers.
