As I’ve said elsewhere the have several creadible points and their timing is fantastic as they can now say look how good Leicester City are when they play by the rules. They shouldn’t have been anywhere near the top six I mean we do have good defence points as well but ultimately the Burnley case has set a precedent and that’s a precedent we’d need to break.

Well yes I’ve been saying the exactly the same thing as you. TLDR of that is who would want to buy us and a barn sale is going to keep us going for another year after that we’re in deep shit and all the accessible income sources have been exhausted. And that’s if Leeds fail to get 8 figures out of us. Which is why it doesn’t matter who this buyer is we need them and hopefully it goes through.

You're over thinking it, stadium capacity is over rated compared to commercial world wide revenue these days. Leicester City rising from the flames given we do have a world wide fan base now is a good angle....and you have to remember it's very rare anyone gets involved with a football club to make money, they are predominatly play things for people who have that amount of money. Like I say if you can come up with a business strategy, have the patience to put up with what I now think will be a pretty tough season next year, deal with the overheads, work out how you can support the club without breaking FFP. It's still a good prospect, but only to a very very rich person which I didn't think we'd ever find. Like you say there are better options out there for anyone, but clearly someone is taking an interest and I'm just trying to articulate the reasons why. Without relegation to League One I always thought we'd find a buyer if Top was inclined to find one, sadly it has taken him to see the club us totally done with him in charge to do it. I'm very surprised with some of the figures being thrown around and in fact the sole fact someone is actually interested but that seems to be the case.

Sheffields a funny place mate, it’s a big city but not big enough for two imo especially as they’re both potentially roughly the same size, if you have a Notts county Port Vale or even to a lesser extent Liverpool Everton scenario it kind of works but there really isn’t much between those two it splits the city down the middle. Derby have a lower ceiling than us as well. Plus you add in the romance of the prem win, theoretically, if you have a shit ton of cash and can deal with our overheads and want to look very long term we are a decent proposition. Big risk but the potential is there if you are extremely wealthy.

It seems massively over valued to me but Tommys talking a lot of sense and there is also the long term aspect of the training ground and the assets we have if they think they can turn it around and the fact King Power were never going unless they feel they got a good deal.

They should. I've said it myself it''s a farce, we have rules and punishments in football clubs going at each other on top of it is stupid and it should have been stamped out a long time ago. Think of the argument more of our existence as a fradulant club is what stopped them going up more than we beat them southampton did this etc etc and it starts to look a lot more of a solid case. We could well have been 10th if we didn't break the rules, they'd have still beaten us twice, and gone up in second. Our absloute collapse as a football club having to work within the rules as well is a compelling bit of evidence for that.

And what if we lose Kenny which I believe we will, do you think many League One clubs with our overheads can afford to be shelling out 20-30 million pounds The only thing I can think that would make them settle for small amounts would be the prospect of us going into administration and therefore not having to pay them much at all or the fact they take pitty on us and settle for a small amount just to show their fan base they took some action.

I think in the broader picture of the game this kind of thing should have been stamped out a long time ago as it’s farcical. Can’t have teams taking each other to court every time someone who was broken a rule finishes higher than them. just look at this conversation, if we lose to Leeds our case against Man City and Chelsea gets stronger, it’s just a joke.
