Not sure if it was guff it’s hard to maintain grass courts and they do need a rest. Tech has just allowed them to maintain them better in recent years. I do agree though why the they’d rest the courts on Sunday and have a day jam packed with tennis on Monday when it could easily be done the other way round always escaped me.
