They've done fvck all to encourage local support when we were good because they thought we were all beneath them.
Enjoy your rude awakening now, you fvcking prats.
They're the awkward one really. Lump them in with Warwickshire amd Worcestershire. Better transport links between Northampton and Birmingham than with us anyway.
Think you need to keep the local derbies for commercial reasons but they should have had it as six groups of three local rivals who then join up with another group of three to make six - then rotate each year.
Been said already but preparing that deck, putting in their top six of clean, destructive hitters and *not* having Budinger about for the chase?
Come on, lads.
Nobody wants this to be a humiliation and embarrassment. The club decided to make it that themselves.
If it exposes more people to what a shambles they are then good. But nobody's getting any pleasure out of this. It's just fvcking grim.
Tough one ennit. Burned a few times in recent years by short-term T20 signings that have failed, so see why the club would go for hedging their bets. Similar signing to the likes of Jewell at Derbyshire in that respect.
Hope he comes off for us in at least two out of the three formats.
Was away-friendly last time we played them. Remember having a Burger off their barbecue too.
Did you get to The Grapes in Limehouse? Sir Ian McKellen's boozer (he lives next door to it, i think). Loved popping in when my mate lived over the road.
Frequently talked about playing for a club up in Yorkshire, presumably before he started commentating.
If you don't rate his commentary or his politics, just be honest about it ffs. No need to keep making up these daft arguments.
Harsh appraisal. We've improved incrementally in the Championship in recent years, won a 50-over trophy three years ago and go up and down in T20.
It's a disappointing season so far but it can be recovered if we start learning from our mistakes.
