  1. What versions of Jerusalem are people listening to that aren't rousing ffs. Great tune, great lyrics.
  2. Struggling to think of many. Lancaster brewery with the red rose and Sam Smiths with the white rose. Think Brains have a Welsh dragon?
  3. Get yourself to Bochum, Grobs! Great beer there, plenty of nearby groundhopping, and just up the road from Düsseldorf and Cologne - both with their own distinctive beer and pub cultures.
  4. Yeah, BoE is excellent for helles selection. You're unlikely to miss, whatever you pick. I'm personally a sucker for anything where the Bavarian flag is really prominent on the label.
  5. Not great but Lancs only need one of that top three to come off and most oppositions would struggle. Watch them basically put out a second XI on Finals Day again because their superstars have playing for them bottom of their priority list though.
  6. Get in. Great over from Green, wide aside.
  7. You said it was embarrassing for the club, but the club didn't organise it. They can't be blamed for poor turnout.
  8. "It was old players day". Not true. Pretty simple.
  9. All reasonable points but, from Bashir's point of view, he's done everything England have asked of him - and, unlike Rehan, he's played regularly in the Championship. His fielding looks to have improved too. Like you, I'd obviously prefer Rehan but would actually pick Crane above both of them. It seems people are still judging Bashir on past selection reasons, when we're all (rightly) claiming we want selection on county form. I'm no fan of the ECB but they can justifiably say they've picked him on how he's played so far this year.
  10. You should probably correct the record on this thread now that you know this isn't true.
  11. Said it before but he's played well since moving to Derbyshire.
  12. Come on now, poorly composed Facebook memes are a very valid reason.
  13. What do you want to change that isn't being changed now?
  14. Le Cygne et Pédophile.
  15. Buzzing it's finally come together. Shame it's before another decent break between Championship games!
  16. Fully agree. We need to pull together to get the worst owner in our history out of our club.
  17. You go outside of the top Euro leagues and I'd say its largely going to be weighted in the national teams' favour?
  18. Could have done with this 48 hours ago...
  19. No probably about it but like I say, this is Div 1. Most sides do. They're without Cook, so if there was any time not to worry about seeing off a difficult hour, it was this one. Stick Hill up the order to protect the others if it's that much of a concern. Anyway, it is possible to salvage things but we need to play bloody well today.
  20. If you have the attack to exploit that, fine. Only B. Green had them in any trouble though. Looking at the forecast and our recent record, we should have backed ourselves to bat. We keep putting all our chips on having sides 50 for 7 within an hour but that just ain't gonna happen in Div 1.
  21. Sheldon Gums too. Another game likely lost at a toss we won. Again. Sick of this now.
  22. Very sad. Had no idea about that relationship.
  23. There's a reason for that, though. In what other sport are you away from home as regularly for as long? And you've got 8+ hours a day of potentially needing to be switched on each day, especially if you're the captain. I can't imagine how bored snd tempted I'd be by all sorts of things if I was a pro cricketer. I can't blame any of them for letting loose every now and then, especially after a win with a day to spare like that. That said, they did need to clean up their act and they haven't. But that's a failure of culture, not just of one individual in a leadership role. If Stokes does go then he can't just be the fall guy. Others above him should follow suit.
  24. I can see the benefits but I wonder about the impact it'd have on the team's mentality. Trying to bore snd grind our way to survival in the Championship hasn't worked so far. From an entertainment point of view, I'd be all for it though - much prefer a T20 game with bowlers on top to a slogfest!
