In Soar Point with the same lads I'd been with eight years before, enjoying awaydays in what we thought would be our only ever season as a lower league club. Glad we hadn't won it the day before - a soulless away end full of hangers-on thanks to our ever-corrupt ticket office. Had given up watching at points so was just sinking Blue Moons and reminiscing with my mates. When it happened I hugged my brother and said "that's for grandad." Then chaos, cheap champers and towards the Tav. On to tins by the Clock Tower and letting it all sink in. I fvcking hate that we can't enjoy these memories the way we deserve today but even writing this has brought a smile to face thinking about our club for the first time in several years. I think (may be wrong) that's the son of a guy called Jamie Rayner who used to play for Harborough. They moved away and he's played for Wales at Minor Counties level. Guessing there might still be local connections round here though.
