  1. I'd probably take a swap. Ulloa has had a shocking season.
  2. 39 pages and counting on their northstand forum, albeit that woeful poverty forum only allows ten posts per page like it's 1996.Good luck knocky, loved him for his flair here after we hadn't had any of that for years, and do feel he was poorly treated by Pearson after his ill advised comments about progressing above Leicester
  3. The FTSE100 is taking another hammering this morning after Chinese trading was suspended for the 2nd time in a week. Could be looking at a new 52 week low being set today and a rocky year ahead. I think we'll see a moderate stock market crash this year, possibly pushing the ftse down into the 4,000s, followed by a small recession perhaps early next year. Osborne senses the danger and is setting out to manage expectations in his speech today, not that there's a lot he can do about the big troubles in little China or the new economic oil wars. I think ordinary citizens will be able to ride this one out feeling little impact but the numbers will make grim reading, such a shame for Labour that they've got nobody in place to take advantage of what will be (wrongly) perceived by some as a tory failure on the economy.
  4. Strictly speaking I guess the pictures are also copyrighted images, but I wouldn't worry too much about them. I doubt the film company would go after someone who is giving them free promotion
  5. I don't know ken but I don't think linking to illegal copies of films on a blog that can easily be traced back to you is a good idea
  6. I'm not going to pay for a stream of Peter Schmeichel talking or some no mark tennis game loaded with adverts every ten minutes for the same reason I'm not going to pay for a sky subscription. Unless they can offer me guaranteed HD streams of all city games then paid add ons can eat my shorts
  7. Everest, decent 7.8/10.
  8. Just finished my 4rd and 44th bottles of Jack Daniels of the season. Feeling ill though. Early night tonight.
  9. Nice Buce. I could imagine that in a comedy sketch. You'd have to be played by a 14 year old obviously
  10. Hear that. I actually left half a plate of chicken wings uneaten last night.
  11. Yeah I got the joke but any joke that forces me to listen to Waterloo isn't funny. It ruined what could have been some nice tense moments.
  12. The Martian was alright but I wished I watched it on mute. What a shit soundtrack. Ruined the film quite a bit for me.
  13. The advert with that ugly smiley family singing annoying Christmas songs with outrageously unrealistic lyrical accuracy in the car and then stopping at McDonalds and then shouting the lyrics as they leave the drive through. So much wrong with it I don't know where to start.
  14. Pub lunch, several pints, back to the office to an email reminding me I had to do some work I'd completely forgotten about. Got on with it a bit tipsy, did a few things wrong, had to redo, eventually got it finished at 7pm. Last person in the office except for security. Hardcore. Missed the shops so my last minute Christmas shopping will now be done in the petrol station in the morning. Good petrol station gift ideas?
  15. Yeah and if they were actually "really intelligent" then by now surely they would have taken the first steps towards civilisation. A basic language perhaps, use of tools, maybe even the wheel. I mean jesus I'm not asking much but no, not even an outlined foot on the wall of a cave. Pisses me off when people try to claim animals are smart because they're not, they're all fvcking thick.
  16. Yes look at them with their fat parents gulping down that 'mayonnaise'.
  17. Can we move the Christmas cheer to the other thread so those of us still at work don't have to see it? Thanks chap
  18. You say she's strong but how much can she bench? Her deadlift PB? Let's get all the facts on the table shall we.
  19. Having a break from my Alain de Botton marathon to read some book called Can We Live Here about a family who "quit the rat race" to try to find a happier life somewhere else and the wife and kid end up living in Bali while the husband takes part in the Singapore rat race and the wife becomes a successful author and they send their kid to a super expensive private school in Bali before getting annoyed because Bali is becoming "too developed" and then they move back to London and the moral is supposed to be I don't know what, that if you've got lots of money you can go and live in Bali for a couple of years, or something.
  20. If you choose to work in a 24hr industry then you know you're going to be working over Christmas. The flip side is you get more time off at other times of year when doing things can be cheaper and everywhere is less busy. Of all the injustice in the world, people working over Christmas doesn't rate.
  21. Sicario Some nice camera work but just so very boring 3/10
  22. My favourite part of this complaint is that he says it happens to him "time and time again" I mean jesus how often do you even go shopping and does half an hour really hurt that much?
  23. I agree. I doubt we've spent any more than the average for a newly promoted club in their 2nd season. If we start offering bumper contracts to keep hold of our best players then you could day we're competing on wages, but so far the redistribution of wealth can take no credit. The author also seems to have forgotten that we are also owned by billionaires
  24. You sure it was a power cut and not just you blinking?
  25. The Everton fans thought they would walk all over us today. I've no idea where their confidence comes from or where this idea that they're a particularly good side comes from because the only teams they've been able to beat this season are absolutely shit. They describe Mahrez as "Mcgeady on flake". 1) who the fvck is mcgeady and 2) what the fvck is 'flake'? Do they really expect everyone else in the country to understand what is presumably a reference to class a drugs? We're not all gutter class drug addicts you know "la's". Some of us even have jobs. Do you know what one them is do ya? Eh mate eh mate eh mate eh mate
