Starmer needs to stay for the summer so they can get Burnham onto the ballot. Having a choice between Rayner and Streeting would be utterly appalling and would have us longing for the Starmer halcyon days within weeks.

I have actually ordered it tonight. I actually resonate with a lot of things I’ve seen him say in interviews! How long was your heavy drinking for? I’ve always had a healthy relationship with it but I have some life crap happen and the past year it’s got problematic. Hence why it’s important I stop now, let things rebuild then hopefully reintroduce it in a healthy way, IF I can.

Rain set in til 6pm according to bbc weather

I’m good this morning, just very anxious but weirdly motivated to stop for good now. I’m hoping I can maintain, I get no joy out of alcohol anymore, it’s just a crutch.

Just stumbled across as outragous clip of an accident in Poland tonight, I’ve never seen anything like it. The guy gets thrown over the fence and miles into the stands, seems like he will pull through thankfully.

I’ve had a very tough weekend where I met with mates yesterday and got absolutely hammered then I’ve drank through the anxiety today. Tomorrow it stops hopefully for as long as possible. I need a dry spell.

Good relations with China is so obviously the right move. If they spy then genuinely why is that an issue? Do USA not spy?

The amount of crap that Arsenal get away with at set pieces and that happens?

Glamorgan, Hants and Yorkshire are all likely to lose so escaping with a draw isn’t awful at all.

My grandad was good friends with Ray Julian, though it sounds like every Grace Road attendee was at that point in time 😂

Come on rangers, god save the king, Gerry Adams is a loser x

The contrast between our main two clubs couldn’t be more different right now. 26,000 full house, could’ve been 30k tbh. Absolutely dominating their local rivals who are a very very good team by the way. With a bunch of mainly homegrown academy players. It’s brilliant.

Green had Leaning with the plumbest LBW I’ve ever seen not given.

Yes I guess I am harsh but it comes from personal experience. It is truly the generation of the neoliberal/Thatcherism and the politicians manipulate the masses to meet the needs of the market. So while it is selfish from my experience, it also reflects the messages they’re being given. You’re obviously a compassionate person which is admirable in this system.

You can also make crap loads of money from investing in renewables but I guess the oil companies have paid Farage off. Meanwhile these places across traditionally ‘working class’ areas will experience increased inequality, deprivation, disability as a result of these policies but nobody a) dare says it b) listens. If it is true that the vote is generally split between under and over 60’s, then Labour need to mobilise and transfer as much as they can from the later to the former (sorry for any liberal over 60’s on here). The over 60 right wing voter is truly one of the most selfish in existence, I know as I’m related to a lot of them that actively and proudly vote for policies that make their children and grandchildren worse off.

Yep, the Labour/LD/Green vote massively outweighs the current reform vote. Which I think is the strategy as to why Burnham would be better than Starmer as he could potentially bring back a lot of the people that have been transfixed by Polanski. If Labour can get 5% of voters back from the Greens then the next election will be a lot prettier.

Ok it’ll be Japan and South Korea without the effective public services 😂 I guess basically then we’d be more like the worst parts of the USA.
-
The plan will be massive tax cuts, especially for businesses. The plan will be to try and get more business in the UK, Singapore style. Like others have said in the past few days, Reform would run the country in the way that Japan and South Korea are economically ran. Away with workers rights, renters rights, disability rights, maternity rights, with the ambition that it’ll bring more business to the country and lead to economic growth. Of course for economic growth in the 21st century you need migration and cheap labour, so they will have a choice to make, economy or immigration. You can’t have both.

I mean Plaid being the main party is the bigger story. While I don’t think we’ll have a Welsh independent movement, we’ve actually got a Welsh nationalist party leading Welsh government!!

The way he smokes and drinks, we can hope he won’t make it to 2029.

Agreed, looks a lot in it for seam and spin. Watch them get 600 😂

We need a win so hard decisions have to be made.
