Funny you’d get sent off in rugby for that sort of hit but not in football

Been the only thing to do remotely excited about actually

It’s hardly a shock that Bannon is a fascist? He’s been that way since he first came on the scene

Leicestershire actually turned wiaan Mulder from a no hoper to an elite international cricketer. Don’t tell me that there’s no magic in the Grace Road cauldron. -

South Africa will walk this group. Their batting line up is insane and the bowlers are good enough to back it up. England can definitely get through if we bat sensibly (spoiler: we won’t). -
BodoGlimt v Twente in the europa league tonight. 1-2 to Twente after the first leg, and 1-1 (2-3) going into injury time. 92nd minute Bodo score 3-3 94th minute Bodo score 4-3 96th minute Twente score 4-4 (a proper goalmouth scramble). Then Bodo score two goals in extra time to take it 6-4. 3 of the goals tonight were own goals too. Absolutely insane scenes in Norway.

He’s always been like this pretty much.

Villa are going to end up getting overrun here. Liverpool’s legs are much better. A Liverpool win probably ends forests title hopes because if Forest get maximum points, Liverpool would only need 24 more points from 12 games to overtake them

Dunno, depends how far back they can go?

That was most definitely a deliberate handball, I’m very surprised it wasn’t even looked at.

99% sure he doesn’t, he’s just old and silly. If Biden survived four years with actual cognitive impairment then Trump will be fine.

Changing the subject, if raising the minimum wage is inflationary (and therefore judged as bad) what motivation do politicians ever have for actually reducing deprivation and improving living standards?
-
It doesn’t matter really does it? European politicians are powerless and pathetic.
-
Holy crap, that Trump post about Zelenskyy ☹️
-
Aside from Hitler the second (Putin), I’d be far more annoyed with Biden and the European morons promising the world while having absolutely no balls to follow through with it.

Going to go against the grain but the new Everton stadium looks class. It’s functional and not a complete hospitality hell hole until Tottenham. Unlike West Ham, fans are close to the pitch too. Aesthetically from the outside it’s as good as I’ve ever seen. It’s much closer to Liverpool centre in a historic part of the city going through gentrification (some class bars in walking distance). If they get it right, it could be a success imo.

Zelensky throwing a strop probably isn’t going to convince Trump that restoring relations with Russia is a bad thing. He needs to play the cool and patient game.

Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

Club culture is involved in a lot of this as well. Post Pearson I can’t think of a single manager that has given youth a proper chance. -

Leeds squad is vastly weaker than last season, they’re basically playing at a similar level. Piroe has been firing away but they would get destroyed at premier league level in much the same way as us. That Sheffield United squad being where they are also tells you about the standard. -

The same fixture the other way around is when Meslier messed up. What a nightmare. -

Look at the Swansea team he had though, looking back it’s scandalous that he didn’t get them up. -
It’s funny that presidents have gotten away with things much worse than Watergate. Nixon was generally one of the best presidents of the past 80 years and I think it’s weird to see him in the same context as Trump, which is terrible indictment on American politics.
