One of the comments from a Sheep fan nails it. They might take a little while to find their feet, but I reckon they'll pull clear - maybe significantly so - by the end of the season. What impressed me the most about them last year was their ruthlessness and professionality. Even when they were comfortably clear of everyone else they kept winning games and didn't drop points against the weaker teams. I don't know if they'll upset too many of the big boys but in an even fight - which a lot of their games against teams from 10th or so down will be - I'd expect them to do well.

Won at Hampshire. That's two wins at Essex and Hampshire in the past week.

Some of these pundits are a disgrace. They get paid ridiculous amounts of money to give ignorant, arrogant, biased and totally misinformed opinions. I feel for the mugs that fall for them.

They have to take a financial gamble. They can keep trundling along as they are doing or they can take a dip and get these 2/3 quality players and hope that it pays off. Y'day sums up why this team frustrates and angers me. It's not as if they are no-hopers and useless. They could actually be a very good team but they have no self-belief whatsoever. Maybe Styris' influence helped them cross the line where usually they wouldn't have.

and Wayne White was probably our best player at the time that he left. Followers of the club seriously need to start making a stand against the regime. Boycotting these 50-over matches would be a start.

Simmons would be ideal imo and after the 2015 World Cup it'd be the perfect time to go after him.

Another shambles. Heads need to roll starting with the Chief Executive or Chairman or whoever makes the big decisions. The coaches need to go too, with one man in charge of everything. They may be nice people but it's an embarrassment. Born and bred Leicestershire lads like Buck, Cobb and Thakor will be moving on at the end of the season as other counties can offer them a better chance of progression and will not mis-manage their injuries like we so pathetically have. I'm steering well clear of Grace Road until things change.

Cobb used to hit runs for fun at age group levels. I remember playing against him in a club game at U15 level and he got 50 within 20 odd balls.

I thought it was an exceptional day. The support acts were a lot better than many people had expected, Kasabian were brilliant, it was fantastically organised, the stewards and police were not at all heavy handed which sometimes they are at events like that. Considering there was 40K+ people there, of course you were going to get a fair share of idiots, there were people selling drugs, pickpockets and people who couldn't handle their alcohol but on the whole the crowd were brilliant and a mix of all different types of people. A great day for the city of Leicester.
