  1. They obviously thought that few of those players would hold their own in the prem. So they spent loads of money, and now they’ve ended up with the worst of both worlds. It’s a proper rebuild job for them as they’re not established, the infrastructure was that of a league one club just over two years ago.
  2. Eustace is a decent manager when it comes to defence though, although very often when you shore up a defence, it’s at the cost of attack. For some reason tho, unlike Cov or Forest, I don’t really wish any harm of Derby, they went through a lot and their fans seem a lot more grounded than the others.
  3. Lunatics who can’t get over themselves are not putting Soumare in the strongest team. Which is insane given he’s been our best player in the last two games, running a midfield by himself.
  4. Sad that we didn’t get Nicky Maynard across the line but could’ve been worse.
  5. Marinakis identified by his teeth in true Fuhrer bunker style.
  6. Forest spending £40m+ on another high quality winger (5 goals & 2 assists in Ligue 1 last season) @Bilo
  7. Why are people so rattled? He’s basically a kid. There are bigger and more mature clowns to direct your dissatisfaction at. It didn’t work out, it doesn’t always work out and he wants to move on. It’s fine.
  8. Yeah they changed his strategy as he was that far off Piastri and that strategy won him the race.
  9. We can’t get deals over the line so doubt this will happen
  10. I think Putin knows Xi owes him. I don’t think it’s crazy to say Russia is subservient to China but that kinda keeps us all a bit safer. I’m a bit of a Sino-phile though so I’m biased (while aware that the CCP does some terrible things).
  11. We successfully isolated Russia!!
  12. I honestly do think he’s had a mini stroke or something
  13. Piastri is a better driver than Norris anyway. Kinda makes up for the luck Norris got in Hungary.
  14. If anyone is doing a 22/23 us then it’s Villa. That team just looks so average on paper, it’s aging and maybe Emery has gone as far as he can with them.
  15. A classic from the forest Reddit page.
  16. Austerity was a centrist policy! It was enacted under a one nation Tory-Lib Dem coalition, probably the most centrist government imaginable. Brexit while daft as a standalone decision is also not to be blamed when you look at the absolute state of the EU right now. The 2008 crash was the trigger but we’ve had no good solutions since.
  17. The problem is that for the general public, the problems that the politicians talk about seem so far away from the problems they encounter every day in their life. Climate crisis means nothing if you can’t find somewhere to live. Fighting Russians is pointless if you don’t believe in the society that you’re fighting for. Hell most working class people in this country prefer Putin to Starmer. The issue is obviously the rich stealing from the non-rich but they’re doing a good job in disguising it.
  18. Is everyone not just a bit done with the ‘centrists’ now though? Like I’ve weirdly never felt more emboldened in my left wing views while somehow respecting the Reform approach a lot more than the current government and the ones the preceded it. We’re watching the decline of our state, and while I think it’s a natural evolution, it’s centre economic policies which have caused all of this.
  19. Realistically the Tories are done unless Farage drops Reform last minute and gets Jenrick to be Tory leader or something. There’s no room on the right now and nobody is voting Tory to protest reform.
  20. When are Samoa batting?
  21. Absolutely mental that anyone is criticising a 17 year old thrown in at the deep end. Most don’t make debuts until their 20’s.
  22. I have no idea what he’s like as a person but he seems to have some leadership qualities, which is something this team massively needs. A calm presence which is something Mads never had.
  23. Yeah I highly doubt he’ll see out his term. There’s a reason why you don’t see many people of his size in their 80’s. Don’t think dementia like others have suggested but if he had a sudden cardiovascular incident, I wouldn’t be shocked. The question would be if he would hand over power to Vance if he was incapacitated or whether he’d rule from a hospital bed.
