Pitch should be even better to bat on tomorrow although some overnight rain may make it spicy. It’s got me thinking about the ashes. The Aussie batting line up is clearly on the decline, but the bowling attack while also aging is incredibly sharp. On the other hand our batting line up is fantastic but the bowling on paper is a complete mess. I think a lot will depend on the pitches, weirdly the Aussies might want some bowler friendly wickets.

Yeah rugby in the midlands is very different to down south. In fact when you take into account the sport in wales and its valley roots, and rugby league in the north, you could say it’s only really the south that gives it that posh vibe. therell be plenty of tweed in the Bath end on Saturday.

The batting is simply not deep enough in this format. Shan is also not Handscomb. Then take away our best two white ball bowlers in Rehan and Hull, it’s very very difficult. The fact we’re on 3 wins out of 5 is still very decent with the latter two still to come back. We’re sadly relying on one of Kimber or Budinger to go big each game and neither are consistently good enough for that.

Been to games of both teams over the last couple of seasons and one of the differences is that the match entertainment at tigers isn’t gimmicky. They give you a reason to get down early and leave a couple of hours after. It helps that one club have a board that’s trying and another that isn’t lol.

Tigers aren’t really a true reflection on the sport in general. Dan Cole is from Wigston, so was Martin Johnson. All the well known tigers legends are all from state school backgrounds. If you go down south, it’s a completely different situation. Most of Sale’s team yesterday too are either Saffa’s or Cheshire private school grads. Tigers and Gloucester are pretty much an exception in terms of having a less elitist background.

Tbf they scored 224 in the first game and still lost. How’s the pitch looking?
