  1. absolutely. We need a hold up striker / target man if you will, someone who can receive the ball back to goal under pressure with defenders all around, Patson Daka is NOT that man, Vardy isn't either, Kel should be more suited but he blows hot and cold.
  2. Daka is definitively not the answer - very limited player and is totally ineffective in a possession team.
  3. Feel like pure shit just want Pearson back x
  4. the bright young thing Dave Bassett for me. Was an extraordinary and forward thinking innovator, probably ahead of his time, you can see many of his ideas in Pep Guardiola's Man City sides.
  5. Oooooh Fbref stats friend! Not sure moaning about people expressing opinions then going on to state your opinion as fact is going to cut much ice with myself and the fellow `elitists`.
  6. This thread sums up why Mendy is underrated, he's a holding midfielder who can keep possession, ticks the boxes for the basics but lack of flashiness means he is not well regarded. Sometimes you just got to be solid and let others take the glory.
  7. Yeah, I think so, he's mobile, has some presence and undoubtedly an eye for goal, think he'd fit in well to a Maresca team.
  8. had a feeling someone might say that, I think Mahrez had the more spectacular first touch of taking a ball out the air and killing it dead, but in terms of controlling a pass from any angle with either foot in a way that creates space and takes you away from the marker, Tielemans is/was elite (Harry Winks scores extremely highly in this regard too). Put Mahrez in the middle of the park and I think you'd find his first touch quite wanting.
  9. And the manager is Lil Brennie.
  10. I think this is bang on the money. The dictionary definition of technically gifted but physically lacking. He had/has possibly the best first touch and ball control of any player I've ever seen in a Leicester shirt and his passing off both feet was wonderful, pinging long diagonals, through balls, punching it through the lines, out wide. But, he is both slow and weak and not outstandingly committed to make up for it. He would have been a top player 10 years ago, but the game has changed towards a focus on physicality over technique at least in midfield and it doesn't suit him.
  11. I like Ipswich, so what? Lots if people have 2nd teams. I'd take them 1st and us 2nd if offered it now.
  12. Yeah, he'd be a monster in this league. Actually we wouldn't be in this league if he'd played last year.
  13. Of mice and men
  14. People crying over Ipswich who have were 2 leagues below us last season 😂 give me strength. Yes, they will fall away and no we shouldn't gloat when it happens because in this league we are Man City and they are Brighton (at best). Respect to the Tractor Boys.
  15. Come on Ipswich. This is a proper football side vs cloggers and if we're as good as we think we are we don't need to worry about Ipswich keeping their form up.
  16. @Pulpul you are an absolute legend - great chant idea! Get to a game at the King Power, and give a few of a shout, you'll be given a warm welcome!
  17. Trying hard to dislike Norwich and Daniel Farke, but just can't manage it. Sorry, they are both so bland and well meaning.
  18. Well I hope that Ipswich continue to win and win every week and keep pace with us. It motivates us and they are by far the preferable option to go up compared to Leeds, Southampton, West Brom. I'd really like to see the in the Prem again. Dream scenario Us first, Ipswich 2nd and M`boro in the playoffs I reckon.
  19. Not a fan of him In this system, without space to attack he's a passenger, we need a more subtle player like Kel up there.
  20. So you're saying people hate Pearson because they love that he would love the fact that they hate the people who love him? Say whaaaaaat?
  21. 3 West Brom (H) - a fixture we traditionally do terribly in Watford (A) - a fixture which always worries me Huddersfield/ Millwall (A) - there's going to be another sickening 0-1 smash and grab against a physical, defensive side and they would be good contenders for it. As an aside if this happens to only lose two away games all season would be fantastic.
  22. Reading this you have to wonder how anyone could possibly dislike him (least of all our own fans).
  23. Says a man with the username @Izzet is God 😂😂😂
