Yeah, I think so, he's mobile, has some presence and undoubtedly an eye for goal, think he'd fit in well to a Maresca team.

had a feeling someone might say that, I think Mahrez had the more spectacular first touch of taking a ball out the air and killing it dead, but in terms of controlling a pass from any angle with either foot in a way that creates space and takes you away from the marker, Tielemans is/was elite (Harry Winks scores extremely highly in this regard too). Put Mahrez in the middle of the park and I think you'd find his first touch quite wanting.

I think this is bang on the money. The dictionary definition of technically gifted but physically lacking. He had/has possibly the best first touch and ball control of any player I've ever seen in a Leicester shirt and his passing off both feet was wonderful, pinging long diagonals, through balls, punching it through the lines, out wide. But, he is both slow and weak and not outstandingly committed to make up for it. He would have been a top player 10 years ago, but the game has changed towards a focus on physicality over technique at least in midfield and it doesn't suit him.

I like Ipswich, so what? Lots if people have 2nd teams. I'd take them 1st and us 2nd if offered it now.

Well I hope that Ipswich continue to win and win every week and keep pace with us. It motivates us and they are by far the preferable option to go up compared to Leeds, Southampton, West Brom. 3 West Brom (H) - a fixture we traditionally do terribly in Watford (A) - a fixture which always worries me Huddersfield/ Millwall (A) - there's going to be another sickening 0-1 smash and grab against a physical, defensive side and they would be good contenders for it. I echo the other poster who said he would pick Ipswich out of the whole division to go up. I too have a big soft spot for Ipswich, definitely my second favourite team after Leicester, ever since the Premier League team of 2000. Plus I really like your badge. And having been to Portman Road it's a nice town and ITFC fans are a sound bunch. You deserve this after all the years of penny pinching and the doldrums! Hope you can stay in second!

Agreed with this. If Arg vs NZ becomes a physical game of attrition then you'd fancy Argentina as NZ are a little lacking in size and power. However England can't drag SA into that game as SA are the world's most powerful side and on top of that they are quick and creative like NZ.

I reckon for the abs they peaked with beating Ireland, a bit like England did when knocking out the ABs 4 years ago and then had nothing left for the final. Then again you could make the same argument for SA. It's going to be a class game that's for sure.
