What hacks me off in modern football today is these stupid backheel flicks. I've noticed Sterling do it and now Lallana and nearly every time we cough up possession. We (Leciester) are also doing it too recently and worse exponents are Chilwell and Gray and we give up promising positions as a result. Often we then get horribly exposed with a counter-attack. Sorry for the rant guys ;-) -

Interesting to see how Ashley Young started as a right sided attacker at Villa is now a left sided wingback. He's definitely found some form in the last 2-3 seasons and looks a potential starter. -

Imagine if it was Harry Kane (that scored that goal. They'd be eulogising so much there'd be no time for the adverts. -

Agree. All defences hate pace and these guys have it too. Sterling is 100% better this season and Lingard is keeping Alli out and deservedly so. These 2 and Vardy look a real threat. Only problem we have at mo is in defence; if Italy had been on song in front of goal we'd be losing by now. We are missing Maguire's calmness. -

Think Vards can get another here, the Italians look shaky unusualy for them at the back. -

Alli has been poor and he’s had a moderate season. Lingard is ahead of him in my view. -

The Ox has had a good game. Move to Liverpool has done him good. -

Can’t think of too many English left backs aside from the guy who can’t get into Spuds first team ?. Personally I quite like Rose he gets up and down well and will get stuck in. -

Seriously, how much £ does the premier league get compared to other countries. We should be beating Holland who are in transition and a smaller nation. Yes it’s pretty passing but we have struggled to win games like this. We should be winning and be in the top 4 or 5 in the world by now -

There’s a yawning gap between England’s back 9 and the front two or sometimes one in Rashford. Remind you of any team ? -

Just seen Danny Rose there emulate Ben Chilwell. Great run, great control but then crossed ball was 30 yards from any white shirt. It’s strange but England are emulating Leicester here... -
We have to give the guy some time. A transfer window and the summer. Get his style of play properly adopted by the team. Re evaluate in December then let’s see.

Thoughts on January signing Fousseni Diabate?
oxtonfox replied to GB Articles's topic in Leicester City Forum
Diabate looks very promising so far. He doesn’t yet seem to be burdened by weight of expectation that I’ve seen in other City players recently. He looks direct, quick and has some tricks that premier defenders are not comfortable with. -
Yep you are right Simmo is a steady enough player but he is the square peg in a Puel round hole with his belief in overlapping and attacking fullbacks that are expected to assist. I don’t think Chelsea were up to much it was a shame we didn’t perform at 100% if we had we could have knocked them out.
-
Don’t think we should criticise Chilwell too much he tries very hard but needs more from the right foot and some confidence. Simpson had many opportunities to put in a telling cross but failed every time. I don’t think Chelsea even worried about him in the end cos he presented no danger. Kasper made.a mistake but hey he’s a keeper and they all make mistakes. Disappointed that Puel brought the cavalry on when it was too late

And we would have drawn Southampton. Aaaaaarreeegggggjh

Diabete looked good but hey Claude he had so little time. Good effort but we were not incisive enough with the final ball .
