He seems to give up so easily. See the goal he shrugged his shoulders when mahrez lost the ball. 7 seconds later we are a goal down. Big step up in performance needed all round. And can we stop giving the all away when not under pressure
-
I got a feeling they will beat us comfortably after their performance and more importantly the result last night. They were on a bad run but last three or four games they have played quite well. I hope I am wrong but Conte is now rallying his players. They have better players than us in most positions. Willian, Alonso and Hazard always do well against us. They will beat Spurs at Wembley probably in the final. Conte will go then. I hope I’m wrong but can’t see it. 1-3 score prediction ?

Haha. I'll believe it when it happens. West Brom could be tricky - with them on a terrible run we have a habit of gifting out of form teams a couple of goals and a change of fortune. See Watford away and then Everton away; on both occasions those teams were bottom of the form table and on terrible runs - until we turned up! Add to that Palace at home who hadn't scored away until they played us then bagged three away goals and gave us a stuffing. I only hope you are right mate.
-
You summed it up well mate. I am livid not winning and incredibly grateful in the end. I don’t understand what our plan is other than we’re bang average save McGuire and Wilfred who put in the effort. Riyad too for getting us out of jail. Ref was awful apart from adding the extra minute at the end ?

Blow me Kingy has scored for the Swans

what the heck are we doing here? This place is turning into a gift shop and we are so weak in an attacking sense. No promise, no positive play, we are powder puff. Jeez sake get them off and sort it out man

Eff it’s must win now Burnley have won

Bournemouth (H) - What would your starting XI be?
oxtonfox replied to AKCJ's topic in Leicester City Forum
Need some pace to turn this lot and put them on the back foot. They are a better passing side but vulnerable under pressure. We can’t afford to be slow, to carry on passing sideways and back and then to Kasper to slice his kicks. Massive change of approach needed and whole team must take responsibility for attacking not just Riyad. Desperate for win today boys don’t want to go to West Brom next week without 3 points. -
You can tell after a few minutes we were not up for it and we are slow and so one dimensional. We are in rotten form, totally reliant on Mahrez. When he’s off we have zero creativity. And we are the worst in the prem with corners from an attacking and defensive sense. Add to that our free kicks are shite too. Seriously seriously hacked off with them. Thanks for ruining my weekend.

I can't remember Mahrez giving the ball away on Friday night. He was the most likely to unlock their defence which looked difficult for us from the beginning. He is class that's for sure and I think he put in a decent shift. Laid on the goal, and was very well supported by the fans around me.

Will has been great this season and I hope he stays with us. For me he should be the player of the season unless his form drops off alarmingly. Clear top tackler in the Premier League according to Opta well ahead of Ngolo who I think is number two. I don't think he's the absolute top level yet, he needs to work on shooting but as others have said Klopp can do one, he has players coming out of his ears in that position.

FA cup quater final draw 7.45pm UK time
oxtonfox replied to Fightforever's topic in Leicester City Forum
I made a mistake. There are 8 combinations out of a possible 56 that would keep the "big 4" separate. So that's a 1 in 7 chance or 8/1 if the bookies were offer fair odds. Or put another way, the same odds as you trying to throw a total of "5" with two dice. Yours faithfully, captain saddo. -
FA cup quater final draw 7.45pm UK time
oxtonfox replied to Fightforever's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think the chances of "big 4" being separated in the 4 ties are about 22% or in betting odds 11/2 . This is not outrageous but still quite a low likelihood that it should happen. To be honest a big plus is a home draw and I would have preferred Chelsea as their performances are more unreliable than the other 3. That said Hazard, Willian and their left back Alonso give me the wills as they always do well against us. -
I saw note mi'duck.

Ticket arrangements for Chelsea FA game (not ideal)
oxtonfox replied to Evington Fosse Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I have been a season ticket holder previously for 9 seasons; though I am not now, as I live miles away. It's always been the case with cup games that they are available to all after first allocations. The season ticket guarantees your ticket for the 19 home league games but the Cups do not, just as the draws themselves are by chance. Personally I don't see a problem with allowing other keen City supporters the opportunity to see their team should we get a home draw. There haven't been many recently. Enjoyed the game on Friday though that was my first since the Borussia pre-season one that we also won! So maybe you should allow me another ticket to see us through to Wembley -
Lose and we are goosed. Interesting theory of history repeating itself here with Puel. Last year his team finished 8th and he took team to a Wembley final albeit League not FA Cup. Then he got sacked. This year we finish 8th and get to final and put up great performance and lose a classic to Man C or Man U. I’d take that now but would not support him losing his job.

Only two wins in 10. What has gone wrong?
oxtonfox replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
The next 2 games are very key to the rest of the season for us. Lose or draw to the blades would be a disaster but more importantly the Stoke game is vital. The bottom 12 have all picked up just look at the results: Watford v Chelsea, Swansea recently and now Newcastle. Stoke too look really up for it and we will have to be on it all over the park to get a win. Start like we have done against Man C and second half vs Swansea and we could face another Palace at home situation. Puel and Appleton will have to get the players focussed, no sloppiness, don’t concede set pieces etc etc. -
Well done Vards - keeps churning out the performances ,soften being the lone striker creating bits and pieces out of not too much. Creates his own penalties too! I hope he stays for a couple more years as he has been our most consistent and dangerous player since the Great Escape season.

oxtonfox replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
We thought we were better than we actually are. Our current form is bottom five along with Burnley so we better pull the collective fingers out or the dross of this league will have caught up with us again. -
This is a * hit or bust game now. Lets put our best foot forward shall we. Strongest team though would be OK with Jakopuvic in goal, Amartey at right back. Happy enough with Gray as long as he don't spit his dummy out, Iborra's calmness on the ball but would like to see Mahrez made captain and put the onus squarely on his shoulders now to do something after the shenanigans of the last fortnight.
-
Well I hope Puel is putting all our eggs in the FA Cup basket now. We were poor today no doubt about it and unfortunately got Man City before the Champions League starts up again. I hope we are on it on Friday night and it doesn't become a Fright Night! I also hope he doesn't play a weak side with the likes of Benny the Kick and co. Nacho on with Vardy up front please and for pity sake get a grip lads.

Leicester accused of forcing Mancity into a panic-buy
oxtonfox replied to DelBoy73's topic in Leicester City Forum
£50m was well below the value. £50m + player with little experience in Prem was not £65m despite Man City’s view. Our club was right to turn it down especially that late in the window. Mahrez is contracted to play so get on with it man. No deal that’s my final offer. -
Should Riyad Mahrez play for the club again?
oxtonfox replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
With every day that ticks by it’s less likely he will ever play again with the current impasse. Of course he should play as he’s contracted to do so and to be honest we need a fully focused Mahrez not a moping minnie. I can’t see him playing again and don’t think Puel will take kindly to the antics. Bad all round I think -
He played Saturday so maybe Puel don't want to force him with his lack of real game time up till now. I hope he plays against Swansea though we need his creativity assuming Riyadh is allowed to "rot" or has thrown out the dummy.
