Our two flanks look defensively weak. Gary and Chilwell? Mahrez and Albrighton? I can see Mark doing more miles this afternoon than any other play today. I think he's a great trier but putting him up against Zaha with Morgan and Mahrez to help him is like asking a bunch of kids to shepherd a T-Rex

we're sliding down like a bar of soap on a flume. The players are not that interested except the new boys Hamza etc. and we'll invite Benteke to get back on to the scoresheet and break his run of poor form. I go for 3-0 to them and I bet you all we will start off like we're still in the changing room. I've backed Palace to score first in the 3:00pm kick offs. Of course I hope I am wrong but that's not been the case recently. -
Puel, needs something more than what he is offering. He's a nice guy but not for our club. So at the end of the season he will be going, and we need a manager like a Wagner or Eddie Howe, someone with a bit of passion and a purpose to re-energise the team.

it would be nice to get a blitz of a start. can’t remember the last time we did that? possibly the Man City home game last season whe we were 2-0 up in five minutes. that said I’d settle for any home win. 2-1 the foxes but that’s all hope and little expectation.

0-2 Saints; Austin and Tadic - one from a defensive mixup the other from a set piece. wash rinse and repeat.
-
we will lose for sure. we are experimenting now despite the managerial flannel and saints, though poor themselves are fighting to stay in the prem. 2-0 to hughes’s men. this season reminds me of the peter taylor season collapse in 2001 post Wycombe fa cup defeat. we then lost all bar one match including against all the relegation strugglers back then. Forget it lads; the players are virtually on the beach with their flip flops at the ready.

I was a wee bit concerned looking at the midfield with Mahrez and Gray not exactly hard workers both in. Okazaki was not going to be the difference either and Silva and Hamza are hardly established. that said we made our usual sloppy start but this time we got punished properly. they didn’t have to stretch after that. i’m fuming but will spare the so and so out and drop x y and z till the dust has settled. F*** !

next goal crucial now. if they get it it’s game over. remember chelsea came back from 2-0 down earlier. all hope not gone yet.

3-1 Burnley. we have no leaders on the pitch that buy in to Puels methods. besides maguire and ndidi we appear to be a bunch of shrinking violets. e.g. the throw ins where there is no one making themselves available. i’d drop a load of them and play some of the U23s now after all season is done for. -

Maybe worth bringing in Nige to manage just for this one game. Nigel vs Dyche mark 5. To be honest we are so awful at the moment, only one win in last six home games (vs. a second string Sheffield Utd team in the Cup) that we will get a pummelling all over the pitch by Burnley. We don't look up for it, they are and they are together with belief. Watch former players Wood and their Centre Back Mee score - it will be an absolute sickener I feel and a big wake up call for everyone -

You're frustrated as we all are. I think we have to give this guy a summer and then see where we are at the end of this year. I am not impressed so far but to be fair he hasn't had a summer to sort things out. There's potential in the side but we have not really showed it. As others have said, Guardiola and Mourinho get a season to bed in and to give time for the seeds to grow. To be honest we are no better than we were with Shakespeare if you look at their respective games record so jury is out but they shouldn't come in to give a verdict just yet. -

I think we will get beat comprehensively by the Dychemen and that will be it. We've had more chances to grab that spot than is necessary and we've blown it each time. Next week will be a massive wake up for us, they will rail road us and score a few and we will draw a blank. -

Defensive mistakes apart we are just not threatening enough - especially at home. Our last performances at home are really poor; we lack penetration and we are too slow. Speed was our threat now we are the slowest attacking team in the prem and we are easy to play against - ask Swansea, Stoke, Bournemouth and Rafa. -

jeez I backed iborra as our first scorer so I am doubly screwed now. we need a massive step up in energy Newcastle are comfortable in my view -
Agree about turgid. If we don't wake up from our customary slumber starts we may lose this. Last three at home have been poor, and we were poor for most of the Brighton game. Our difficulty has been breaking down teams that are below us in the league and then conceding sloppy goals, many from corners. As to this game we could play Choudhry in the centre-mid, Iborra and Silva will not be able to perform the Ndidi role between them. Puel will definitely play Albrighton (as he's trusted) so not much change I believe. As to the Vardy support it could be any one from Gray, Okazaki, Diabete, Ihenacho. Using Gray may free Mahrez up a bit and that could be crucial trying to break down a black and white bus.
