  1. Rowett seems obsessed with tweaking the defence and forgets any attacking plan, reapinning the same old failed system. We need to get more goals mate.
  2. Send Soutts up in injury time to get the Steve Howard like winner from a corner.
  3. I don’t know about the results and permutations but I have a feeling we will be playing Blackburn needing to win to stay up and hope other results go our way. There’s symmetry there from 2 year’s previous when we were on the p**s and they needed a win and results to stay up themselves. They beat us at home 0-2 to stay up and sent Birmingham down.
  4. 4 drubbings and a funeral
  5. what you smoking?
  6. Superb song choice and great parody lyrics.
  7. Based on past experience with Ayew you’re dead right. On the plus side he may have just realised he needs to play well to get any sort of deal for next season with another club. He’ll go to a London club I’m guessing, like a Watford or QPR
  8. Ayew has played himself into starting the next 3 games with that cameo, for Rowett. That’s what he wants experienced heads regardless. We will be mortally wounded next Tuesday at Fratton Park, while Hull will put us all out of our misery and send us down in front of the board and home fans.
  9. He needs to bin his current approach of playing the so called experienced and constantly failing team he is sticking to. It must be now, not next week or week after when it will be too late. Bring in Page, start Monga, try Hutchinson, hopefully James is fit alongside Skipp. I’d go to Vesty and Nelson, Thomas and Aluko at the back. Absolutely everything to lose but try it because we’re most likely to lose anyhow. Of course he won’t do this and he’ll stick to this failing formation. Another fraud.
  10. If Rowett came in immediately we may have got the couple of points we may need to stay up .
  11. or have a missus who wants you “out from under her feet”
  12. SHOULD is a bad word with this team. Please don’t use it again.
  13. Why not? Loan your highest wage earner to a bunch of mugs then get your team in the playoffs and the FA Cup semifinals.
  14. Spot on. Virtually none of the academy players have had a look in since Rowett arrived. Rowett has not delivered so far, following the approach of playing experienced options. He has 1.0 points per game versus 1.3 for Cifuentes. I’ll ignore Andy King as he only had 3 league games. Cifuentes played more of the academy players at the beginning of the season when we were actually top 10. Then he also reverted to so called experienced players and the performance and results fell away. There’s a common thread here, playing so called establishment players who have become accustomed to losing games in whatever division, and most who don’t see the club as necessary for them, will deliver meagre returns.
  15. If you look at their first goal, you see Ricky P running back appearing as though he has a deep sea diver suit on: he was so slow. A real drop off this season from him as he simply can't run more than 5 yards at any pace. The whole side seems in a trance of accepting our fate despite going through motions at times. Simply not good enough. Rowett's praise to the team afterwards is massively exaggerating how good it really was. Another concern. I think we are sleepwalking still and heading for that trap door like the slowest, most injured wildebeast being hunted down by Lions (Millwall), the Tigers (Hull) and dare I say it even a bunch of baby Owls too.
  16. This side is about as bad as the one that was relegated in 2007/08. We gift teams' goals, especially at home. I only see one outcome, as we're simply not good enough to get the 3 wins we may need to get out of this. A big chance today against the next to worse side we have to play in our last 7 games. They were on the beach and they were there for the taking. Unsurprisingly we couldn't do it. Dread to think what Monday's game will turn out like.
  17. I reckon JJ will be off to Cov in the prem for next season. He scored against them so he will have made an impact. No way will he, his agent or Dad want him to stay here with this shower especially if it’s Div 1 football confirmed in the next few weeks.
  18. Danny Darlow
  19. Issue with James is that he has stayed on for 20 minutes like he did against Wrexham. Then he was out for 3 months. Not surprised if it’s his season done sadly. Chance maybe for Mukasa in the No. 10 role.
  20. It’s about time Mav turned up and got a goal or two.
  21. taken from the Carlsburg add right?
  22. That’s my guess at what Rowett will do. Notice there’s no one younger than Fatawu in that team, that shows the play the youngsters game plan is out the window with the current desperate situation we’re in. From the bench we have Bobby, Mukasa or Aribo possibly who could impact. I hope Ayew isn’t even being considered as an option. Not at all confident to be honest.
  23. From WH Auden’s Funeral Blues poem: FOXES FUNERAL BLUES Stop the referees watch, cut off John Rudkin’s phone, Prevent the receiver from starting with another juicy McQuarrie loan, Silence the stadium announcer and with a muffled drum Bring out the coffin of Leicester City, and allow our supporters to come. Let the aeroplanes circle moaning overhead Scribbling in the sky the message ‘This club is Dead’. Put crépe bows on their legs and release a flock of doves, Let the stadium officials all wear black cotton gloves. City was my North, my South, my East and West, My working week and my Saturday best My noon, my midnight, my faith, my song, I thought that Premiership football would last forever: I was wrong. These overpaid stars are not wanted now, transfer every one; Pack up the golf club and dismantle Seagrave my son, Tear up those player contracts and sweep up the dead wood For nothing now can ever come to any good.
  24. It will be interesting to see Rowetts team following his Seagrave watergate moment. Personally I’d like to see Asmir Begovich in goals as there’s a massive trust issue with Jakubs confidence and the back four. I think if Lascelles is fit we have to start with him. I’d add Nelson, Aluko right back and I’d keep Thomas at LB hoping he has a decent game. Id go Winks, Skipp and James in midfield as they’re about the best players we have regardless and can’t afford benching any of them. Winks for his passing, distribution from the back, Skipps industry and JJs box to box ability. Up front I’d drop Abdul, play Mavadidi, Daka and Mukasa, hoping they perform anywhere near their best For subs Id be bringing Abdul on at some stage alongside BDR, and possibly Page and the Southampton lad whose name I’ve forgotten because I’m old.
  25. Where’s Phil Mitchell when we need him?
