One of the definitions of madness playing the same 103 year old strike force once again and expecting a different result.

LCFC 0-2 Arsenal | Post-match thread

The reason we’re in this mess is the PSR / FFP mismanagement and not being able to sign a striker in January. In fact to then sell one to Sheffield Utd, that we could have done with now or even for next season. It’s past crass idiocy from the board. Reasonable performance today but no punch where we needed it was exposed in the last 10. Finished punching my cushions now. -
Love to know what the review into the relegation of 2022-23 season actually came up with. What went wrong and who was accountable? Will it be revealed ? or have we got to wait 30 years?

Hopefully Ruud sticks with Okoli and maybe Wout. We simply need them to defend, we don’t need Jannik for passing at this stage. Perhaps go three at the back too, give Coulibally a go as wingback? Have to do a Nigel style transformation otherwise we’ll need snookers to stay up.

I remember seeing us at Arsenal away in February, I managed to get a ticket with a Gunner friend and we played really well but lost 2-1. Kramaric scored. My mates said we should be nowhere near bottom but we were. Proved them right in the end though 😉

It says something when Wilf comes back and is more or less our best player straight the way. Happy to give him the captaincy to be honest.

Despite United being distinctly average, you could tell we were going to concede again, and we did of course. Losing becomes a habit. There was a chance tonight but this side just doesn’t have the skill or guts needed.

Looking forward to some trips to Millwall, Plymouth, Oxford and Wycombe 🤨

You’re right and I put aside recency bias. After the Wolves home loss there was no excuse for this, and basically it’s the same team. Ruuds after match comments were equally concerning. Seems that the players and club have accepted defeat and relegation. No shame, Ship them out and play the kids.

Today wouldn’t be far off. Losing to a relegation rival with a miserable gutless display , while Wolves win and Forest score 7.

There’s a ton of negativity here. Can’t think why?

Everton 4-0 LCFC, post match thread

Most gutless, spineless team I have seen since the Peter Failure period 23 years ago. That takes some doing. Trying not to kick the cat and smash my TV . -
There's a road sign near us that shows a warning picture of "Old persons crossing". I wonder if Tottenham will erect the same sign near their penalty box

One of the issues with Ayew and Decordova-Reid is that they're both on hefty three year contracts and do not need to perform in this game for themselves. It's vital as a minimum that we get a level of hunger in this team to fight and get a result. This is where the board and this manager with his selection have painted themselves into a corner.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

I wonder if there’s a Hoddle situation with Ruud. I read when Glenn was manager of Swindon then Chelsea he could pass and volley balls far better than any of the players. Ruud also as a player being so much better than the squad he’s now coaching, he’s frustrated and the players feeling not fit to scrub his Nike trainers? -

Ruud is 6/4 to be next manager to go. Only slightly less likely than Ange. After Sunday I imagine he will be red hot favourite should Spuds get a boost from this evenings victory. -
I think Marty is improving like Pipes did. Pipes is class though. I like Barroclough and Stowell aswell.

KDH in the shop window tonight then?

Enzoball still able to do us damage.
