He followed that up with a tackle which in my opinion was positioned so he didn’t injure himself. He went in pretty much like he was laying flat on the floor so it was more of a block than a tackle. He is definitely avoiding getting injured.

Desperation shouldn’t be the reason to put the club in more financial risk, it’s one of the reasons we are where we are- recruiting overpaid players with little resale value is just burning cash.

Sounds a little bit like when we were a top 8 Premier League club and budgeted accordingly while getting relegated. And bringing someone in that earns a lot less than those isn’t how the club should be looking at that as that group of players will probably all be in the top 20 earners in this division for the season. Without parachute payments, we will have a huge black hole in our finances which can no longer be plugged by our owners writing off the money so bringing someone in on that sort of money is highly unlikely in my opinion.

Basically that he couldn’t follow the training regime he wanted and thought worked for him, he was made to do what the club wanted.
