There is a lot in between the two styles you have mentioned there, never made more apparent than when we won the league with the worst possession stats in the league. You can have more of the ball and be exciting, you can have less of the ball without being hoof and rush.

I’m not so sure, that is still by far and a way the most expensive set of CBs in the league. Agreed we need 5, but I highly doubt it will be that 5 due to the cost. I suspect the 5th will end up being someone cheaper.

There has to be little chance of us having them 5 CBs. We need to dramatically reduce our wage bill and that’s probably 200k a week in CBs alone.

It’s a tough one to accept, but due to the financial situation we are in and the probable desire by Top to sell us, it’s inevitable that we go for what we perceive to be the safest way to bounce back and appoint someone like Dyche. I think we needed to accept that for a good few years to come our strategy is worst case to go up for the Prem money and bounce back. I say strategy in the loosest of terms because clearly we are all over the shop or we wouldn’t have paid so much for Skipp.

Well one of them re built us twice, Got us promoted twice and built the team that won the league while the other 2 haven’t so it’s not a shock is it. Wilder has now got sacked twice from the club he’s done the best at, having started ridiculously well over a few seasons he’s gone to shit. Dyche’s latest job looks worse by the minute after Moyes, who was also ridiculed on here incorrectly btw, has completely turned them around. It would be like Southampton appointing Pearson now, I would expect the same kind of reaction.
