  1. This time of year again! Suffering really badly the last week or so. I'm actually having to use my Asthma inhaler I haven't needed in years because the hay fever is affecting my breathing at night. I'm craving a cold, rainy January day.
  2. I know it's an unfair comparison, but I visited the center of Cambridge today, and it's places like this that really make you realise how shit Leicester is. More impressive architecture, no empty outlets, cleaner, more attractive women (this is fact), doesn't seem to be racial ghettos, no tramps, better laid out for buses and cyclists. But the weirdest thing is that everybody seemed to be smiling. Leicester is full of right miserable bastards.
  3. Imagine being the defense lawyer for the bloke in that story (yay cross thread reference)
  4. Yeah mate with interest rates so pathetically low, saving is pretty pointless. I've got almost every penny I have in a loyalty saver account, with a grand or so in a current account for easy access. Gets me about £130 interest a year
  5. Disturbingly short sentences.
  6. I have thought quite deeply about suicide a few times. By that I mean I have lay awake at night imagining all of the details in my mind. How I would do it, where I would go to do it. I even have a suicide 'letter' saved in My Documents on my laptop in case it ever happens. I've played through the scenarios in my mind of family and friends finding out and how it will affect them. I too in the past have spent time on forums devoted to depression and suicide. But not once have I actually thought 'I'm actually going to do it' or put plans to take my life in to place, as fortunately these depressive spells only seem to last 2 or 3 days and I'm able to ride them out. And then I'll go months without feeling so down again. I don't know how I'd cope with some of the problems previous posts have mentioned. My feelings of depression are not really related to major life events. I just have a general sense of unhappiness and pointlessness in my life, feelings which I'm sure afflict many people. Strangely though, only having the common problems of a crap job and no partner makes you feel worse; as if you don't deserve to feel like shit when so many people have bigger problems than you.
  7. I assume your face was similar to your avatar when reading it G'won Sam, do tell.
  8. What do you lot do about body hair? (looking at opinions from 18-30 year olds in particular) Now, I've always shaved my pubes and de-forested the sack and crack, but never touched anywhere else. My dad's a bit old school, and told me years ago that the only men who shaved body hair were gay. But I'm thinking that most young men these days probably do. I'm thinking about getting rid of the armpit, chest and nipple hair, but need a bit of FT peer approval first.
  9. Traffic lights that go red for NO REASON. You get stopped, then sit there whilst the other lights go green despite their being no cars there waiting. This is especially annoying at late nights when there are no cars anywhere to be seen and you still get stopped.
  10. In this case yes, because he is not of Somalian descent, he is actually Somalian. Therefore he should be deported.
  11. The 17 year old Somalian who beat and sexually assaulted Ione Wells (20 year old Oxford student) has been sentenced to a year in youth detention. Incredible.
  12. Chris Ramsey said he didn't want to 'do a Nigel' in his post match interview today when asked about the Liverpool penalty.
  13. It looked very good.
  14. I think the weird Burnley rivalry thing has only came about this season after Pearson slagged them off, and Dyche slagged us off. Last season after the 2-0 win at Turf Moor the Burnley fans were fine and actually applauded our supporters coaches as we drove past
  15. Feel like relaxing before bed so...
  16. It wasn't really due to religious views, more economic ones. It was due to the myth propagated widely in German society that the 'backstabbing Jews' were the cause of the WW1 defeat and that they had controlled the complex finances of the post WW1 reparations system for their own profit.
  17. Kanye West headlining Glastonbury? What an insult.
  18. How many potatoes does it take to kill an Irishman? None.
  19. Well I'm only 21 but I've never noticed any change in it at all since I was a young kid.
  20. Since this thread was last bumped I have tried weed. Less harmful than cigarettes if smoked with a vapouriser/bong. I was a lot less emotionally charged/potentially aggressive on weed than I can be when drunk. Make it legal and tax it. Makes a lot of sense imo.
  21. Why aren't senior discounts means tested? It pissed me off massively how rich retired baby boomers get a variety of things free or discounted, whilst a 19 year old on minimum wage has to pay. Examples include prescriptions and eye tests, through to things like public transport and football tickets. The whole 'we've paid taxes all our lives so deserve free stuff now' argument doesn't wash either. Young people who are paying taxes now will be lucky to get a pension let alone the discounts old people enjoy today.
  22. The woman's the cvnt there. The blokes are clearly idiots but you have to have a little sympathy for them. There's thousands of usually non-violent fathers who'd batter a child rapist given the chance.
  23. Just finished Hohokum and the Swapper - both good and tricky indie titles. Now on to the AC Unity DLC and clean up on LittleBigPlanet 3 before The Order 1886 arrives.
  24. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2945633/Man-offers-lift-home-drunk-vomiting-girl-celebrating-18th-birthday-takes-home-rapes-her.html What's really slimy about this is how calculated this must have been.
  25. The Green party were of real interest to me until I watched the Sunday politics. Natalie bennett seems to be genuinely clueless and deluded.
