  1. Not overly convinced with it, but if someone said on the last day of the season we’d have Steve Cooper in charge at the start of the season, I probably wouldn’t have been that bothered.
  2. Such a shame - comfortable one for the keeper if Schar didn’t touch it.
  3. Wouldn’t trust Rudkin to water my hanging basket whilst I’m away for the week.
  4. That’s true, but don’t miss out the crucial part of the comparison / argument - “look how that turned out”. Very, very different circumstances. The Ranieri comparison is a moot point.
  5. The Ranieri comparison doesn’t work here. He inherited a club on the up, the foundations were set and the chemistry among the players at that time were unlike we’ve seen before or since.
  6. My rule of thumb is to never fly regionally in South America, Asia and Africa.

  8. Meth is some drug.
  9. Wouldn’t put it past our shambles of a board to have this down as Potter being in a different time zone and we’ve appointed Cooper before Potter accepts. Or something daft like that.
  10. Take your warm beer or bottled water and clap. Get behind ‘em!
  11. Not interested unless he’s spotted in Morrison’s.
  12. Stevie Cooper I wish someone would blind me The football’s really poo
  13. Ah good stuff! Is the frame built, just awaiting the seat? If so, on a scale of 1 to horrendous, how was the build?
  14. Not trying to deny this kind of thing exists but there’s a chance at least some of those accounts are bots.
  15. On a Friday night for us as well. This is brilliant.
  16. Ok, maybe dreadful is harsh, but the way he pads out most of his sentences with superlatives, “let me tell you”, “I really do”, “it really is” etc. grates on me.
  17. Jesus, Ally “he really is” McCoist is dreadful, he really is.
  18. Our board, prepared? Competent?
  19. Aside from flicking the autopilot on, that’s all there is to it really. The majority of a true airline flight experience would be getting the plane set up for flight whilst on the ground, getting it in the air and following a SID (Standard Instrument Departure) which would see you abide by any restrictions in place (altitude, speed etc) and then it’s pretty much autopilot all the way until 1000ft above on approach, typically. Anyway, I’m waffling! I agree with what you’re describing as your experience - I don’t think an airline experience is appropriate for someone that wants to have a go and a lot of these places get it wrong by setting up a short flight. If I was to run something similar I’d have the person take off and perform circuits around the airfield as I think you’d get way more from that than flying from a to b.

This guy’s CV looks as though he should know a thing or two.
  21. Wear it when seated. It hasn’t got to be tight, it just ensures if the plane drops, you largely stay in your seat and not hurtling into the overheads.
  22. A combination of severe turbulence and bad luck I’d guess. But you tip the odds in favour of injury by not wearing a seatbelt when seated, which I assume is the case here. Always wear a seatbelt.
