Was a good counter to get us to that chance tbf. Nice work Braybrooke and Burns.

JUST SMASH IT BOB
-
Also I know we all want subs at halftime but managers rarely make sweeping changes at halftime. (saying this so it happens and proves me wrong)
-
I’ll take the fact that we’re not losing as a plus. Was certain we’d be down by halftime all week.
-
VAR and we would have had a penalty there.

Good lord that corner
-
UNLUCKY SAMMY That was some nice football tbf
-
I’ll say this about Bob. He’s been in roughly the right place more in one game than Ayew was in ten.
-
FFS BOB Good tenacity from Alves
-
Unlucky Bob. Shame you were wearing ice skates. Decent nod down from Burns though.

SIT DOWN HAMZA

That tackle was rotten.

McCarthy has the first touch of Fred West

This has started as I thought it would. They’re going to go for it. Test is if we balls it up like normal.

Have you been to Stoke?

Imagine this forum if we’re 3-0 up at halftime. I mean obviously you’ll have to imagine it as it’s not happening. But I reckon it would reset all of our brains and we wouldn’t know how to handle it.

Not by a million miles.

Stolarczyk, Aluko, McFarlane, Choudhury, Howell, Watson, Bristric

If Faes and Mavidid are off, brilliant. If RM has just left them out because of their attitudes, then fair play. BDCR up front is awful but Bristric can't just be dropped in after such a short time with us. Watch Big Bob score now I've said that...

I actually think RM is looking for another striker but isn't acting like we're desperate so we can pick up someone for a decent deal either permanently or on loan. There's always a striker tax to be paid on anyone half decent who plays up front anyway. I'm sure we'll move for someone else before the end of the window but we definitely need a new CB or two first.

Stephy Mavididi (loaned to Watford, official)

That's one of my favourite memories of that whole season. Such a shame he's beyond doggo now. -
How are we favourites to win the League?

(I do not think we will win the league, for the record. Fifth) -

Well, we wouldn't have been relegated last season without a six point deduction... that's probably the bookies thinking. That and the fact that we're obviously absolutely ruddy massive. I mean if we take off the fact that we all know that we're not very good and pretend to be a neutral... who on earth is better than us, on paper, in this hideous league? Definitely not the two teams we came down with. -
Russell Martin - Confirmed as First Team Manager

Today wasn’t pretty at all. The test for me is how much he reacts to players being garbage. If he throws BDCR and Mavididi into the river now rather than waiting for ten matches then at least that’s something. I’ve got used to the fact that most managers play abhorrent anti football these days anyway. It did seem like there was more running around today, so that’s a start. Im sure when we lose 3-0 next Saturday I’ll be more firmly against him but I’m not jumping onto that just yet. Bloke has a nightmare job on his hands.
