  1. I mean it's not hard to buy some comments from a bot farm these days.
  2. “Sorry Top, I’m really not interested in the job. Don’t cry. Listen… I’ll come along to a game or something, how’s that?”
  3. He’s crap. But another one like Abdul who social media fans and tv commentators seem to think is a world beater. Thanks for that smashing goal away at Birmingham two years ago, now please sod off somewhere else if you’re not going to pull your finger out and actually try.
  4. Only just got home after the game as me and my lad had to do something fun for a bit rather than just drive home in silence after watching that atrocity exhibition. Approximately four players tried - Winks, Skipp (who wasn’t as good as he has been recently), Nelson and Jakub (who cannot help that he’s far from the best, but made one class save) Everyone else is garbage. I expect that from Ayew, Daka and so on. But Fatawu is the most infuriating. He was astonishingly crap. Tons of bad decisions, not even slightly a team player. He must constantly listen to people telling him how great he is because his decline needs to be studied. BDCR was never a wonder kid. Nobody has ever thought Luke Thomas would change the world. But Abdul is SHOCKING. We were better at Stoke and Boro for not having him. He’s another Alejandro Garnacho - idiots on social media who use phrases like “celly” instead of celebration think he’s great because of the occasional worldie. My only bright spot today was it was the first time my son (born in Wrexham) repeatedly referred to the team as “we” or “us”, meaning that he’s as hooked into them as me and the rest of my family. Poor lad might not have a team to support soon.
  5. I was chatting to a Swansea fan the other day who finds it hilarious that Jordan Ayew is anywhere near a championship team. He wondered if we might have confused him upon signing with Andre Ayew who is, and I quote, “not quite as s**t and actually runs”
  6. My son (aged nine) said “they must be his kids”
  7. Heard someone saying something similar at the game. Its exactly the same sort of people who say “everything is too woke nowadays” because someone called them out on being a bigot. It’s great that a younger generation of fans care. It’s also great that people understand how to protest. That’s what rattles people like that; that people know how to mobilize and at least attempt to get change. The status quo supporters are terrified that they won’t be the most important fans down the line. Good. Well done to everyone who attended today.
  8. As I've just been scheduling content for the 5000 to 1 Instagram project to go up throughout today, it's weirdly ironic that ten years ago today, we played Norwich at home whilst top of the Premier League. Maybe that's an omen. Also I'm taking my lad tomorrow and he very very rarely sees us lose for some reason. 0-1 Norwich then, of course
  9. I think he’ll play as a 10 and either Mukasa plays as a false 9 instead or Daka or on the left instead of Mav.
  10. I’m actually almost proud of them. * Winks was very good. As was Skipp. Mukasa is a special player. We looked so much better organised at the back. Thomas and Ricky both played a lot better. They just didn’t look terrified, which is a massive improvement. * not Ayew
  11. Oh aye. It's insane when you think how good a side they were in the early nineties with Waddle and Big Nige.
  12. Got family who support Wednesday so feel very sorry for them. Hopefully they'll have new owners in place for next season and they can do a proper reset. Far too big a club to be in League One.
  13. I think we might go there with a shred more confidence than recently, and they seem to be stuttering a little. Not saying we'll win or owt like that. But could see us getting a point and then beating Norwich as Rowett gets his ideas over more and more with time.
  14. I'm still laughing at our lot singing "he's had enough" to VK when he went down yesterday. He is massively worse than Luke Thomas. At least LT looks like he cares.
  15. Very proud to be in that away end today. Great support. Best I’ve felt in ages when the second goal went in, shame we couldn’t hold on.
  16. Would have taken a point when we were Doggo in the first half. Now gutted we didn’t win. Wasn’t expecting us to all of a sudden be, you know, any good, but there seems to be some fight and something to build on. Players looked distraught at the end. Good. About time they cared more. Can see us beating Norwich next weekend.
  17. Shocked that Joe Allen and Charlie Adam aren’t playing for them
  18. On the walk to the stadium I saw a stoke fan wearing the following: CP Company hat Stone Island jacket CP Company hoodie Stone Island trackie bottoms Acuascutum scarf Mate, if you’ve got that much money then why the hell do you live in Stoke? (Obvs they’re all fake and his favourite film is Green Street)
  19. I’ve decided to go to this FFS. Forgotten how bleak a place Stoke is.
  20. Wait. Hold up. He TRAINS?
  21. A few mates who are Stoke fans have told me that we are nailed on to win this as they are really struggling. Loads of injuries meaning they've got a kid playing in goal who is League Two level, they haven't got a striker who can score goals and their midfield has been decimated. Plus there are rumblings of problems between staff on the coaching team and bad morale in general. 3-2 Stoke win then (we're 2-0 up at half time)
  22. Beaten up after the Stoke away playoff semi final second leg (deserved it; was seventeen and being obnoxious after we won). Punched in the face by a Red Star fan on my way to meet my Dad for the home UEFA cup game. Giant Red Star fan asked me where the pub was, I pointed him towards the nearest one, and he punched me in the face. Was more shocked than hurt. Walking from the car park to the away end at Leeds during the League One season and watching a big lad deliberately take his jacket off to reveal a Galatasaray shirt and dare Leeds fans to do anything about it. Chesterfield away in the league cup in the late 1990s. Some 15 year old Chesterfield fan kept coming up to the barrier and making cut throat gestures at us all, repeatedly met with laughter. Game ends, he keeps doing it... then absolutely legs it to get out of there before our lot leave. We eventually get out to see him being loaded into an ambulance as we walked back to the car - he'd slipped running down the stairs and broke his leg. Plus I swear I once saw Bernie having a really sensible conversation with someone and he saw me and my mates Leicester colours and reverted back to being the "normal" Bernie. But I used to drink back then so I might have imagined that...
  23. This Sky commentator could not want Coventry to win any more. in the first half he said “this stadium, that was built for this team” So… like most stadiums then? Wasn’t even referencing when they didn’t play there. Was just trying to insist what a great stadium it is. Couldnt contain his joy when the second went in.
  24. I looked at that fixture list and thought “a fair few of these are winnable” Then I remembered that I’ve watched us recently and we’re doggo and absolutely going down.
