  1. What is worrying, today M’borough changed a draw into a win We have had 3 questionable losses, from a biased side of things.. 3 losses,we couldn’t turn into a draw that top teams do.. we had 4-6 chances. Again We are not converting half of them.. With an International break coming up, Nacho ten minutes in 2nd half should of been pulled and Cannon given his debut..No lose situation, no matter result,,and I would of brought on either Casadei,or Albrighton to change our approach..
  2. Knee-jerk,I know.. But Mavididi and Nachos 2 left feet,( or is it 4 left feet) stopped us scoring .. Vestergaard cost us the draw.. This was coming, because our urgency and disciplined ball control,in last third in first half let us down again.. The interpretation of Enzoball is getting ridiculously too slow..Arrogance..?? After Leeds I did expect a better tighter response, just on today Mavididi , Mcateer,Nacho we’re really off the pace and team wave lengths. That said , it was on the cards ( dropping points) away from home against an emerging team. The championship is now settling down, next 5 games, test our mettle for the rest of the season.. And yes across the board, too many fans & pundits spoke too soon.. I hope I can still keep my feet on the ground…Our season starts after the International break, big test first. Up No Winks…!
  3. Vestergaard hung him out to dry..
  4. That’s a fair assessment ,now for the game…I have to login
  5. Yes I agree, but unfortunately we have that financial boundary, that challenges all..Also rans. Far from impossible, but we have to be fair to ourselves, and our club with KP, when wanting to see a consistent top 6 …era 5-8 yrs. My hope, though I doubt I myself will see it,is keeping Enzo into a 5+ year PL tenure. Shankly did it for Pool,Revie for Leeds.. Wanting Enzo,to need & want to make his own story & legacy first with one club…In 10-12yrs he would still be young to take on a new challenge in his home country,or Spains Barca/RM giants if his star keeps shining.
  6. I would think 9now,on one of its choices broadcast would be showing it.. or do a VPN to mainland Europe ie: Germany,Belgium. Championship live games available..
  7. I just don’t believe this lack of quality scenario & actual crap.. No different over the decades,we see clubs come & go & some hold their own, and break their own records, creating their own eras,, Fans, themselves have become boring,by chasing to high a ambitions, instead of embracing the football challenges they are presently experiencing. Too many, believing their challenges have failed instead of remembering their various journeys they needed,to get to those highest ever levels.. We measure with traditional old attitudes, and often a few years behind what is being played out before them. I watching, participating in sport since the end of the 50s,have not seen in any sport where any era has seen a collapse on quality…Was Finney,Mathews,Hurst,Peters,de Stefano,Puskas,Beckenbauer, any better than legends of the 80s,90s,2000s,2020s. B.Charlton a legend that left IMO a great legacy, also has a person to his sport. Was the football better in any epoch, that those judging fans try to make out.. We have our best manager since Ramsey, where his teams play hot & cold, according to any individual game day,no worse or better than past teams… I think that mention of “lack quality” is more a lazy, easy vocabulary choice of fans, than any actual fact they could compare.. And it kills any reasonable,…..banter,discussion or debate.. Because there can’t be any other logic or base to carry on,if lack of quality of the whole is acceptable.
  8. Top..enjoyed that..!! Top assessment of the next opposition..
  9. Those teams we beat, first time around, can also improve through the season.. So we should not yet take things for granted, until we see the run into and after the festive season..Our credentials will only become then evident.. At present we are in the more bias nomans land and leading propaganda that goes with it.. Enzo is the only one who keeps telling all & sundry, let’s keep our feet on the ground, and every single opponent should be respected. & we ourselves should concentrate on ourselves & the next challenge..Each Journo question he returns, with simplicity no panic.no promise on result. We fans love to see more than into what’s been, and go OTT on future prospects… I preferably, just hope I can enjoy the journey each week bring us,and what the players potentials in progress brings us…Searching future permatations,I go under the bed covers with torch,to dream what they could bring, but after the next mornings waking up,realise & know there are many questions still to be answered..
  10. All this has nothing to do with the now. Both managers had their challenges, nick picking devalues any debate. You won,you earnt that 1 gameday plaudits, nothing more nothing less. Ditto for ourselves over 15 games.. I use 3 slides…a 3 game slide, a 5 game slide, and a ten game slide, Looking what…. injuries/form/manager- mentality/squad- mental strength. So far we still take the plaudits,by simply having the points on the board, giving us room for the odd hiccups,or poor runs. Our challenge is to to see our the new squad meets those various stages. Your challenge is first to keep up with us and overtake us across all points. At this moment, the next game means nothing in putting me in panic mode, Away to a top Championship club, watching with open ,interested eyes. Then looking at the chasing packs various results. I never ,neither look back or forward, outside the 3/5 game slide rubric At present because of your own start, you remain , just a challenger, not even an irritating one..But the cards can still be flipped, let’s see by Xmas where we are. No end phase, but one the fans, pundits, media measuring sticks….. First priority for both teams…stay humble..softly,softly catches the monkey.
  11. So why not chose one of the other 2,to gain that experience.. At present we don’t no when Praet is ready to return… The other 2 I understand are available for this weekend.. plus it’s the FT forum that seem to believe we have somehow settled for Our best selection & formation… I dont believe Enzo is yet that far on fixing certain players to fixed positions.. He is a better coach than that..and sees some of his charges capable of covering 2 to more positions..There is nothing in the squad or management team, that is set in ice.Plus he won’t drop players yet, because of indifferent form, the young players will first be given free reins to prove & manourver themselves, while man-managing them.. Though Maybe now after a few games played,we have reached that crusp for descision making,on 1-3 players,( or positions) though injuries and the natural hick hack of choice in new set up & system we are experiencing often intervenes. We have a settled group, that are at present happy to have some part & participation in the new growth of their club.. I really don’t think any of us know yet the thoughts or ideas that Enzo has on his charges, & the tweaks he believes over a longer time,he will be taking..Importantly the players are presenting themselves and interface to the club as happy & positive. On their own career and it’s path with the club..
  12. Or you like those other fans are showing just another opinion..on seeing the good balls, the swift movement & pivotal in counter attack… We the fans would all love to have that all seeing eye,go contra go to the status quo,but I look at all Forums as people, who want to put their view of the situation, but not so rivitted to its stock interpretation, more open to the discussion on any of the slight variables. Some lead with intent and aggressive-defensive ideas & opinions, others with softly, softly with a kink approach. Then those demons,or angels, who don’t see a need to get onto an individual players case, every 5 minutes and belittle every asset a player has. We are talking about people, who have found a way to follow their dream & will aspire to varying levels, most with a massive range that is the backbone of what we follow..those real top stars are not the norm, but the gravy, then one even argues the point over the quality of that gravy and adds one satisfaction of presentation of Yorkshire pudding.. Then each one of us,will sit ,compare then share the top 5 best ever players for each position over your long or short supporting years, then we venture into the No1s of that top 5… My point is,so we can have that last paragraph conversation,we need those “Also rans” because unwittingly they carry the burden of churning out the possibilties of seeing 11 blokes on a club/League platform so we the fans can support them…warts n all.. Thats why I personally don’t go too heavy on getting on players cases or create agendas, which leads to top heavy negativity..
  13. Funny thing it was Rodgers wh rekindled his career, after 1-2 seasons,of really niggling out on contention injuries.. Then when in good form & not short of top performances,he was “again” pushed to the Bench.. Perssonally he belongs in my top 3 (4th??) player mystery .From last season.. Soyuncu,Iversen,Mendy.( Choudhury.?) If they had been introduced/kept in the team We wouldn’t be talking of them in the past tense, and still playing PL football..
  14. Make it interesting though…innit. Might find a new alternative set up… A heavy injury/Card scenario…but maybe a forced team that can hold its own… Iversen Coady. Souttar Justin. Nelson Praet Mcateer. Agun Daka. Marcel Cannon
  15. Wishfull thinking maybe from my side. He has after a lame start, started to show some progress and getting himself into the system. Contracts one can discuss nearer the appropriate 2 times in the season, before either he or club need to decide. We have 10-12 games to navigate, that a major pile of shit still to get through to see if he now is/stays frustrating soul of inconsistency or that Ripping up the league hero…. A couple of seasons ago, I put down his LCFC career, has a failed quality striker potential, who couldn’t hit the hights or technical consistency needed for himself & club. Since that FA cup season, still wary,I softened towards him, believing his star was finding his way to shine… Not disagreeing with you,but more a less a stay of execution, because there are no transfer thoughts needs upto end of January & the then & now situation could change…
  16. Strange in many ways..I can’t think of a LCFC relegation season, where a managers historonics on choices of not selecting & obvious better choices on 1-3 players. Where the rescources were there ready & available & ( maybe with hindsight) 2-4 periods where they could of should of been selected, and a manager seemingly preferring to …cut off his own nose,to spite his face… In the past,we just didn’t have that rescource quality, that “ would of” made a difference..
  17. God I wish Soyu, was still a fox
  18. I have no doubts that the more deeper we go into the season Cesare will play a more solid role and will improve.. There is no reason any of our fans, should get on any of our players case, at this stage of the season and our situation. Plus he's getting into the positions to create & to score.. Crazy thing is he could be on 6-8goals, if the Gods had been kind. Others have started in good form.. Nacho struggled but seems o be ironing out the winkles Cesare the iron fused, but now his iron is warming up... Once he finds his form, he KDH, and Winks, throw in Ndidi & Agun, could well tear up midfield records for the Championship..
  19. One doesn't rush out to sign a contract to please the fans perspective of right/wrong time.. In football you can't play hardball around contracts, Nacho is not a 20 yr old trying to establish himself... NIGERIAN INTERNATIONAL, With all balls in his favour.. & presently a club manager that utilizes him, better than at any stage of his career... Indifferent form is not yet a major worry, he has progressed in his last games... but this theme will be visited next summer with new cards on the table..
  20. Only November,no need to rush…agree with you totally. Fans desire getting ahead of itself.
  21. There is rotation..then there is rotation..
  22. A little wobble, the tractor hasn’t yet lost its trailer. Like us coming from our last defeat, they have some breathing space, & can conjure up another consistent run.. I hope they do …Ramsey‘s and Bobby Robsons career were built on the back of their Ipswich successes…Maybe we are looking at a future England manager… Competition for us is healthy & keeps us honest.. Ipswich carry no baggage, a neutrals dream team..
  23. Even opening a topic over him & Celtic seems to me rather……a waste of type. Totally different to MON & Celtic. Now then Rotheram pulling the the spark plugs out of the Tractor boys smooth running engine..
  24. I reckon he feels more a part of the squad this season, than even the FA.cup season.
  25. Silly me.. but..I don’t believe Nacho would put himself in that position..
