They have turned out to be terrible signings no doubt about that. But if you look back especially on this forum 99% of people were ecstatic at the signings of Daka & Soumare. Bertrand people were happy as he seemed like a sensible bit of business experienced player on a feee transfer. Vestergaard was the only one that people were questioning and even that was more of a panic buy after Fofana’s injury.

We didn’t fluke the Fa Cup, we beat 4 premier league teams and a Brentford team that went onto to get promoted that season. Saying we fluked it is like when people try and downplay our title win by saying all the big teams were rubbish that year. Not much to be honest, I’ve said before he should have been sacked after the Tottenham hammering. He was probably promised funds to spend in the summer which he didn’t get (the club have been known to lie to managers about money being available to spend) and he lost his captain, best GK and biggest leader in the changing rooms 4 days before the start of the season. The club is an absolute mess and has been for years it’s just unfortunate for him he was the manager at the time when the decline was starting to set in. It’s not like the club has got any better since he left, but instead of people putting the blame on the manager (like they did Rodgers) they now know it’s the people running the club that are the problem.

That’s that then you have changed my mind. Totally agree with everyone that Brendan Rodgers is the worst manager in our history. I hated finishing 5th, 5th, 8th, Winning the Fa Cup, winning the community shield, a European semi final a league cup semi final, regularly beating “the big six” Bring back Peter Taylor

It didn’t end well for Rodgers (not his fault they didn’t sack him earlier) the football that we played under him was fantastic and we finished 5th twice and won the fa cup. It’s evident the club is rotten and it’s not got any better since Rodgers left. Unfortunately for him he was the man in charge when the decline started.

Wouldn’t be surprised, Rudkin has had a hard on for him since he got Huddersfield promoted. I am pretty sure we’ve gone for him at least twice previously when the job has been available

Glad you enjoyed it. Yes it’s a bit of a strange setting eating in what’s like a portakabin though you can eat in the pub if you would like a bit more atmosphere. The food is very good and the price is extremely reasonable like you said. Not sure if they will survive or not with the lack of social media and marketing of the place. Next place on my list to try is the old Himalya/ crown hills. New chefs just took over Gurkha Curry, seem a little more active on social media.

I think people unfortunately need to come to terms that whilst Top & king power own the club Jon Rudkin will have a job here for life no matter what. Even if they did sack him/move him elsewhere it’s only going to be one of Top’s mates from Thailand taking up the position. Between them they have ruined the club I have loved for 38 years. They don’t care about our club, they don’t care about the fans, and they don’t care about the non-playing staff. I won’t be stepping foot inside the ground or the club shop again whilst they are still running the club.
