Some of your fans might start dreaming of that moment you progress as a club sufficiently that you stop selling these players and start holding on to them but anyone with those sorts of dreams probably wants to look to a club like Dortmund. You can be massive, continentally renowned, and still understand your place in the world and I'm sure you know better than anyone that Tony Bloom is far from delusional. Barca have been really good under Hansi Flick so far this season tbf. Bayern are top of the Bundesliga and unbeaten. They're not the peak Bayern of a few years ago but it's still an impressive statement win for Flick. Meanwhile, imagine being an Atleti fan. Two spawn deflections and a phantom penalty at one end and a whole bunch of goal line blocks and scrambles at the other.

No Leicester fan that actually follows football thinks he's staying. No Brighton fan that actually follows football is naive enough to think his future is at Brighton. If you get a season out of him next year that'll be about it. He's going to be far too good for either of our clubs. Just be happy you're going to make something like 45-50m profit and don't get greedy.
