  1. Those are definitely some stats.
  2. Any other Palace rejects we want. Where's Andros Townsend these days
  3. Guessing we'd rather save the money than spend on our 746936th choice option tbh. Don't think we'll buy. We clearly wanted the likes of Ioannidis more. Broja almost certainly just testing to see if Chelsea would take a loan with no commitment.
  4. Maybe not the right ones. Perhaps that's what we're doing wrong.
  5. Sociedad are a long way above is in the pecking order. They probably were even before we were relegated. They're a really well run club that have done very well over the last decade. Not sure what's to be sick about that.
  6. He's done it plenty of times in his career. Think someone the other day even pointed out Cooper had him in the England youth teams as a 9?
  7. If Cooper would rather play Ayew or Mavididi down the middle than Cannon then he probably doesn't consider Cannon to have much impact on our depth.
  8. Forgot to swap accounts?
  9. Come on @Wymsey you might as well name names you did when it was Cooper
  10. It wouldn't be the stupidest thing to do. They've gotten promoted twice consecutively, they probably aren't going to keep their manager beyond this year, they've still got a League One squad let alone Championship. Going to be a very big ask to stay up and establish themselves with those foundations. Wouldn't be the end of the world for them to just consolidate. They've spent a lot of money to do that, though.
  11. Shame he'll probably be out for six months.
  12. Does Cooper like Mohamed more or less than Maupay?
  13. Tbf it did at the time. Thought he looked surprisingly good dropping in deep and linking up in Enzo's system tbh. Think it suited him better than Vards and Nacho which I didn't expect.
  14. Tbf, fast forward 6 months and I'll probably be defending Broja's 0.68 goal contributions per lot of 90 minutes when everyone's calling him shit because he's being horrendously mismanaged.
  15. Even that's a bit strong.
  16. I mean, I'd start a fit Daka over Broja every day of the week and I'm not joking or doing a 'bit' here. He's just a more dangerous forward. Broja might be a bit cleaner in possession but he's not a better striker.
  17. For the record, he has a substantially worse minutes-per-goal rate in the Premier League than Vardy, Daka and Iheanacho having played 66 games and 2806 minutes. He's managed 8 Premier League goals and 3 assists in his career to date. Didn't exactly dazzle in his 13 games (6 starts) with all of 1 goal for Chelsea last year. At Southampton he started 21 games and scored 6 goals. Obviously he's pretty young and he's got time to develop but I'd be amazed if he gets double figures in combined goal contributions. He's done that once ever and that in the Eredivisie when he scored 10 in 20 odd starts.
  18. Probably but he's still not very good. Or at least, he's not a very good goal scorer. He's strong, he's decent in possession. He just has no real output.
  19. So yeah. We've run out of money. It'll just be a loan, I'd be amazed if we agree to an obligation unless it's based on him scoring X goals. He's shite. I don't even believe we rate him that highly, Fofana and Broja have been blatantly available all window as Chelsea are desperate we've clearly left it to now because we were hoping for other targets.
  20. We're obviously not interested in this guy tbh.
  21. My favourite thing about his stats is the number of shots he takes is a wildly higher percentile than his actual end results. Combined with the fact he copies Ronaldo'a celebration, you can pretty much imagine everything you need to know about him
  22. Not saying you're wrong but it also won't help that the Championship has a reputation for being extremely physical and Sammy is 3ft 2.
  23. Definitely matches the criteria for a Cooper forward
  24. When he came here, Kramaric was already a fully capped Croatian international who was signed for a then club record from a top flight side where he'd just been the league's player of the season. He scored something like 30+ goals in 40 games for Rijeka. He always had a high ceiling but he happened to sign just as we were realising that the striker we took a punt on from Fleetwood might actually be genuine world class. Cannon was a kid we took a chance on from Everton's academy because he was cheap and we thought we could flip him in a year or so. He'd previously done a spell in the Championship when he'd had a good few months in a purple patch. He wasn't even meant to be anything other than fourth choice last year. I don't hate or dislike him. I don't wish him any harm or misfortune. It would obviously be great if he became a brilliant Leicester player. But the level of classic foxestalk "becoming good by not playing" that gets applied to Cannon is probably the most over the top we've ever seen? He's done nothing at all to ever demonstrate he'll be a Premier League footballer other than just being young and scoring, like, two goals for us off the bench? Harry Panayiotou managed that. The fawning and now mourning over him is absolutely bizarre.
