It just the decision making and commitment to it. It was a mess previously as we were made promises on commitment to build on the provision we had the workforce to deliver. We spent an absolute fortune in recruitment, paying massively over market rates too, to deliver the work should the go ahead proceed. Then nothing happened and the government representatives under Schapps just wouldn't even respond to any communications. Nobody trusted them to follow through on the promises and we ended up moving a lot of people on. Was just a massive waste. The main benefit was Labour actually signing contracts and memorandums within weeks of coming in giving us protection to invest. I've left since then, but speaking to former colleagues it's just the basic governance of commit accept that the previous lot didn't bother with. Politics aside, there's a lot to be said for people following processes so that companies have the confidence to invest which was lacking before. I don't really support either of the main parties, but I can't begin to say how absolutely inept the previous government was in doing simple work. They were so lazy and were just quietly quitting.

I was heavily involved in the SMR programme and the Conservatives did f**k all with it. Boris made a paltry contribution so that he could brag about investing in British companies and then gaslit the programme. We had to give monthly tours to Tory cabinet ministers for years for photo ops but they never put their hands in their pockets or pushed the regulators to get a wriggle on. We were massively ahead of other commercial rivals such as NuScale who have since matured their safety case beyond the RR SMR such that it's now moved ahead. The support and acceleration under Labour has been massively increased. They've been complete turd for most of this parliament so far, but this is something that behind the scenes they've taken seriously.

Last time I used Ableton was version 8 at Uni back in 2009 so no doubt changed loads since then. It is hard, but is really powerful software. Stick with it as it'll payoff.

This looks quite interesting. Been after a decent gaming/media centre for the living room. Will wait for proper reviews, but looks a promising bit of kit.

Sure suppliers of cheap energy are delighted to be paid at the rates required for gas generation. Imagine the argument against is a significant reduction in investment of these energy sources if they moved away from the model.

Shutting down your country's government to stop the swearing in of the vote sealing Democrat to release the rest of the material is extraordinary tbf.

Foxes Trust Reform - the final step
Zear0 replied to Foxes Trust Reform's topic in Leicester City Forum
@Foxes Trust Reform Same as the above, was on the 9th. Appreciate there's probably one poor sod reviewing these, but what's the anticipated turn around before escalating via yourselves? -
It's not even short term pain in this regard. It's provided a massive boost to their industrial economy and reduces their energy costs.

He does have a serious problem in progressing policies so suspect there is truth in it. The ID cards are the perfect example of an idea that was previously favoured by the majority, but when he announced it became deeply unpopular purely because it was then aligned to Starmer. Not ideal given the amount of work they have to do over the parliament.
-
But you said "it was clear to me" and yet you don't watch anything on it? Not people you speak to, your brother or Tim Davie, it was "clear to me".
-
So it isn't "clearly" left wing then, it's just your viewpoint.
-
No it isn't obvious and stop assuming it is to fit your narrative.

My office is absolutely covered with Lowrys (not originals...). Going to the Mill being my favourite. It amuses me as I sometimes feel as the characters look.

You can't disagree that fighting in WW2 was a waste of time and that the current state of government is equivalent to what was going on at the time? With respect to the gentleman, he fought for my right to say what he said to be complete crap.

Leicester City vs Stoke (H) 22nd Nov 3pm - Pre match
Zear0 replied to whoareyaaa's topic in Leicester City Forum
BDCR first name on the team sheet. Things are bad guys. -
Chant is clearly unacceptable, but the brass neck of the club to write "The people who represent Leicester City work with dedication and integrity every day" is beyond parody. Same people of integrity who charge kids for autographs, who signed off bc.game (twice) , fiddled the books for PSR, ripped it's own fans off on price collusion with JD sports. Chants were bad. Club can f**k off if they think they can take the moral high ground and claim integrity.

Disagree, think he'd have been even further back. We'll never know! Great race though
-
He was never in contention against Lando. Been miles slower all weekend and need to sweep us as many points as he can to keep it close. He'll probably get Russell on this strat.
-
Not sure about that. He'll be going quicker on the medium and would struggle to make the end if he stayed out on the soft. Best to swap them over ASAP.
-
He's had a great race but he's basically on a 1 stop with his SC pit. Surely had to come in again or cling on for dear life at the end
-
One of these races where the tyre strategy is so spread I've got no idea who's winning.
