NZ player jokes aside key players getting older, drop off with the wings was clear last weekend too although the outcome wouldn't have changed much
-
Ok, maybe not that but in the Newcastle / Villa cycle of teams. Flip side is things can change very quickly as we know full well. Sell key players when the big teams come in and buy poor replacements on massive contracts.

December - Shit, Forest might finish top 10 but no chance of Europe February - Shit, Forest might get into Europe but no chance of champions league Now - Shit, Forest might get into the champions league but no chance they become a top 5 regular

At the start of the year I really wanted to win this years championship as I think it will be a while before we challenge again but like you say we've been generally poor compared to the last couple of years bar the odd flash so no complaints from me. I wouldn't have begrudged a late Italian win at all. The hope is that we've thought we had declines in the past and bounced back quickly with those, not sure about this one but hope I'm wrong. Our under 20s went from not losing a 6 nations u20s match in 3 years to getting the wooden spoon this year. As for Italy, credit to them, their defence stood firm despite injuries and cards.

Agree to disagree. Not sure if pelters was over the top really, the knives were out last weekend for sure which is fair enough if a team has releative success. f France hammer Scotland later everyone just expects it and says well done France hard luck Scotland. Saying that, like you I'm basing it on social media so if we were basing everything on social media South Africans would be the worst people in the world, which they aren't when you know some Saffers. Morale of the story is as always is probably just to avoid social media

The use of the phrase 'matchday experience' by clubs, awful -
If you look at the Conference League quarter final line up it feels very European Cup 60s-80s
-
Lets face it, Tuchel only needs to be good for just over 16 months. His thinking is probably getting through these two games with some steady heads.
-
Were UEFA concerned Real wouldn't turned up in the quarters if they didn't gift Real the tie?
-
That never gets checked by VAR if it was a Real penalty, not in a million years
-
It wouldn't be Mark Clattenberg? His accent isn't in the Sid Wadell strong but definitely noticeable North East.
-
This Madrid derby ref is letting a lot go for both sides, not necessarily a bad thing
-
To be fair he scored 17 league goals in 22/23

Best Leicester Player From Almost Every Country

Can we stretch Ulloa to count for Chile? -
I like their style and they have some very watchable players with no 'galactico' aura or pressure on them. Would be funny if PSG won it the year Mbappe goes to Real.
-
As said PSG the best team over the 2nd legs, Liverpool never really got going in either match
-
Home atmospheres are generally crap everywhere unless a team is on the up or a one off game. Even then it's only pockets that make noise constantly.
-
Goal and assist for Kane tonight, lovely weighted ball for Davies who finished well.
-
New Trafford?
-
Good assist by Barnes for the Newcastle goal
-
Robertson 8 nil up in the first session. First to 10.

The pelters we are getting from the rugby world so how far we've come in recent years compared to the patronising 'at least you tried' pat on the head. I've never really bought into Irish arrogance. We know were shit in the 90s and will know we'll be shit again at some point so I dont think Irish fans are arrogant as such, we've just been enjoying the ride and happy to be at the top table until it's over, which is probably going to arrive sooner rather than later. When Dupont when off I thought there was a bit of an overreaction from comms as if they were going to be playing with 14 men. Lucu's a very good player and was brilliant, his kicking game was on point and got rid of any rare pressure we had on them in the second half.
-
Absolutely tonking in that second half, scoreline flattered us. Writing was on the wall when we didn't score any points with the pressure we had in the first 20 minutes.
