It’s games like these where you can see why Man City were happy to let Palmer leave. Body language is terrible, effort has been poor and hasn’t stood up like a so called big player should in a big game. It’s alright doing at home against Brighton, but these are the games that seperate you from the rest.

What was important for us after the Arsenal game was for us to get some sort of return from the upcoming games. We’ve won both. Another positive result from the next two fixtures sees it being a really good return imo. I think a lot of people have also glazed over that we had a really tricky start to the season too, Spurs and Villa at home, Fulham, Palace and Arsenal away, the only game where on paper you would’ve expected us to get more from our start was against Everton. Apart from Arsenal, any game we lost was by a single goal and without some dubious refereeing decisions in that game, that could’ve panned out differently.
