You asked why I thought it’s ridiculous and in my opinion I don’t think it’s a penalty. They’re both going for a 50/50, Saliba gets a touch on the ball before he makes contact with Pedro. It’s not dangerous, it’s not reckless and he’s not out of control.

Well we scored today…. Another game where an individual error has cost us. I wonder how many goals Justin is culpable for this season? What on earth was he thinking? Got back into the game and farts about with the ball at the back. It’s one of the basics. Just clear your lines. Played some nice football at times but I feel it’s another massive opportunity missed. There were points available from that. Villa weren’t all that I didn’t think. Profited from two poor decisions from our players. Plus the standard ever obliging allowed Leon Bailey his first goal since April. We need reinforcements and we need them quick. Buonanotte needs more game time. Subs need to be made earlier than the 80th minute. You can’t expect to sit and defend (albeit fairly well) for a game when our defence is this bad and not expect to concede. On paper our last three games have probably been the toughest set of games in the league but that just makes it even more disappointing that we could’ve quite easily got a result from the last two games.

Apart from the second set I don’t think the standard has been that great. But Littler is taking the chances MVG is presenting him.

Our problem is getting signings over the line. Other clubs are already agreeing deals and we are just hearing nonsense rumours, nothing concrete. With our position it’s really poor that we aren’t already active, both Wolves and Ipswich already close to getting signings over the line. Then it’s the bizarre case of waiting 3/4 games for the new signing to actually get a start.

You could tell how good he was just by the reaction of how pissed off we all were when he left. I’m sure the way it panned out had a lot to do with it but deep down we knew the type of player we were losing.

I do agree from a footballing perspective it’s a shame because he certainly did have the world at his feet.
